Toy bomb explosion kills one, injures three
PESHAWAR: A man was killed and three children injured when an explosive device, construed as a "toy" by the kid, exploded in their house in the outskirts of Peshawar on Saturday, police said.
The kid had found the device in a nearby mountain and brought it home in Urmur village to play with it.
Sadam Khan died as a result of the explosion while three kids Gul Shah, Zakir Khan and Subhan Shah were injured. They were immediately shifted to Lady Reading Hospital and admitted where there condition was stated to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, unknown militants blew up a Boys Primary School in Sultankhel area in Landi Kotal sub-division of Khyber Agency early Saturday morning by detonating explosive material planted around the school building.
Two rooms and a verandah of the school were smashed after the explosion. However no loss to life was reported. This is the second incident of school demolition by the militants in last two days.
