TV Ratings: Univision Scores Demo Win, CBS Repeats Lead Soft Monday Among Networks

With no sports or original scripted fare between them, the networks had a sleepy Monday night with many viewers checking out for holiday break. This paved the way for a demo win for Univision, which saw its two-hour finale of telenovela La Fuerza del Destino (The Strength of Destiny) average a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
On the networks, CBS led the way among adults 18-49 and total viewers, with a 1.9 rating and an audience of 6.7 million, respectively. A repeat of Two and a Half Men marked the night's strongest performer on any network (2.4 among 18-49-ers), with an encore of Mike & Molly (2.1 rating) coming in behind Univision.
A new offering of holiday game show Who's Still Standing? and a repeat of the revivedFear Factor gave NBC the #2 spot of the night. The network averaged a 1.4 rating and 5 million viewers.
ABC was the only other network to put forth original programming, with a new episode ofYou Deserve It performing on par with the previous two weeks' efforts. The network averaged a 0.9 among adults 18-49, with 3.8 million viewers.
Back-to-back encores of House gave Fox a 0.8 rating and 2.9 million viewers for the night, while the CW's airing of 2007 film The Education of Charlie Banks brought in a 0.3 rating in 18-49-ers and 741,000 viewers.
