ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior has submitted its 18-page reply to the Supreme Court in the form of an affidavit in Memogate case saying the alleged memo is a fake document and a bundle of lies, Geo News reported.
The ministry noted that Mansoor Ijaz has tried to pitch Pakistan's institutions against each other. Attorney General Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq submitted the reply.
'In view of Federation the memo is a non-issue and Prime Minister Syed Youuf Raza Gilani has also said this. The PM has tasked the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) to probe the matter which comprises of members from all political parties.'
The reply also pointed out that neither the president nor the Federation has any role in drafting the memo.
