IB official shot dead in Peshawar
PESHAWAR: Unknown gunmen shot dead a high-ranking official of an intelligence agency in Peshawar, Geo News reported.
According to details, Sirajuddin who happened to be an assistant director in Intelligence Bureau (IB) was murdered while he was on this way home after offering prayer in a nearby mosque.
Initial reports say the incident took place on Dohra road in the jurisdiction of Yaka Toot area.
Reason behind the assassination is not ascertained yet, Police said and added it might be result of personal enmity, but the matter is not clear yet. The deceased succumbed to wounds on the spot.
FIR has been registered against the unknown miscreants and investigation has been start.
