Pakistan, most dangerous for media: RSF
PARIS: For the second year running, Pakistan was the single deadliest country for journalists, with 10 killed in 2011, Reporters without Borders (RSF) said Thursday.
he RSF listed the world’s 10 most dangerous places for the media – ranging from the Egyptian capital Cairo, to Misrata in Libya and the Khuzdar District in Pakistan.
A tumultuous year, including the Arab Spring and the ouster of several veteran Arab dictators, led to a near-doubling (1,044) in the number of journalists detained worldwide compared to 2010, the RSF said.
