PlayStation Vita Games
10. Escape Plan
Escape Plan has been created using the same PS3 system in order to make Fat Princess. However, despite of a common feel with the concept and the graphics, PS Vita takes gaming into a whole new level. You will not only use the D-pad and action buttons to make Laarg and Lil interact with the environment to solve puzzles and get out of the room, but you will also utilize the six-axis sensors, the two analog sticks, the front and rear touch screen.
9. WipEout 2048
Anti gravity racing has its own kind of thrill since you can take speed at a faster level. But with WipEout 2048 created for the PS Vita, expect that you can now drive your ships through the six-axis sensors as if you are moving your handheld device as a steering wheel, enable projectiles and power ups through the front touch screen, and even compete with distant friends via 3G or WiFi on the PlayStation Network.
8. Little Big Planet
Sackboy now embarks on a grand new adventure in Little Big Planet all because of the tools that can make you enjoy the game in a new light. Aside from using the D-pad and the action buttons, you can now utilize the front and rear touch screens to interact with the environment and make Sackboy experience journey of competition, teamwork, and fun. Tilting with the six-axis sensors will make you sway with some stages. You can just go with the default adventure mode, or create your own games and share it through the PlayStation Network.
7. Disgaea 3
If you have already played Disgaea 3 in PSP and think that you already had enough of its creative and conceptual game modes, then you can be in for a surprise as PS Vita makes the Absence of Detention even more absent, thanks to an expanded version that seeks gamers to enjoy the old game with a new flavor. Just how expanded this version is? First of all, the graphics are done HD; you can level up your characters to 9999, make damage that goes 1 million points per hit, level up items and skills, and even venture into random dungeons.
6. Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational
Golfing has never been so fun and detailed in a handheld device. With PS Vita, Hot Shots Golf: World Tour becomes an experience that can be great with online friends and winning can be sweeter with the new trophy system. You can use the front and rear touch screens for preparing the shot or you can tilt the screen as you move your characters near or far from the ball. Rear camera can also be used for augmented reality golfing.
5. Dungeon Hunter Alliance
If you have been familiar with the MMORPG Granado Espada, then this game from PS Vita would surely make you remind of a particular environment as you will come to play and swap on three characters, where you can switch one with another as you play single mode. However, the Dungeon Hunter Alliance has been utilized to promote the teamwork of friends that are connected through the online network, where you can team up to four players max to complete different journeys and quests.
4. Call of Duty Allied Mobile Force
If you are not much of a fan, then you may think that Call of Duty Allied Mobile Force will appear the first time in PS Vita. However, it was already released for the Nokia N-Gage Mobile phone console, and the Vita is the perfect device to recreate the said platformer, all in new and crisp detail, graphics, and absorbing FPS gameplay. You can now utilize the dual analog stick on this game, which makes you move and quickly control the camera at the same time.
3. Resistance: Burning Skies
Even though the plot may mention May 15 1951, you will be curious that what you imagine as history, may not be the same as you know it. The setting has that wasted futuristic ambience into it, not to mention Chimeras that you need to kill and defeat for you to go on with the flow of the story that began with an earlier release. This will perhaps be your first time to ever play a touch screen FPS game that has been escalated to new and greater heights.
2. Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Dora the Explorer is to Diego, as Lara Croft is to Nathan Drake of the Uncharted: Golden Abyss. Yes, the first time you behold this game, you will have the same nostalgic feeling of missing Tomb Raider all over again. And thanks to the new gaming tools in the PS Vita, you can perform new functionalities that depend on the tools you use, such as tilting the screen, pinching, swiping on the rear touch screen, and more. You’ll get to trade bullets with aborigines, climb on trees, explore ancient civilizations, and even balancing on beams (told you it feels like Tomb Raider).
1. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
Considered as the best kind of crossover fighting game in the universe, Marvel vs. Capcom comes back with its third release for the general gaming industry, and the first in PS Vita. With new and smarter graphics, faster gameplay, and new characters like Nemesis, Firebrand, Hawkeye, and Ghost Rider, including new ways of interacting in the game via touch screens, tilts, or online connection, Marvel vs Capcom 3 indeed becomes Ultimate in its own regard.
