The rumors have been officially confirmed! IMTA alum Katie Holmes is reported to be the very special guest-star who dances in the season finale for the CBS hit So You Think You Can Dance!
Katie actually debuted her dancing abilities at the 1995 IMTA Convention when she performed in the Talent Showcase! While at IMTA she signed with a prominent Hollywood talent manager and filmed a screen test for her first film: “The Ice Storm.”
Her routine for the season finale was taped last week and is slated to air on August 6th. E! Online reports, "It's going to be on the finale. It's a Broadway does Hollywood number. It opens on a Broadway stage and then she walks into a Hollywood studio. Holmes, who has been rehearsing and dancing for more than a year, was on top of her game, adds the source. She was amazing. She was such a pro. Her legs are in great shape. She's got a hat and a cane and she's wearing a leotard and tights, the source adds." Holmes will be performing along to Judy Garland's "Get Happy", taken from one of her musicals, in a routine choreographed by Tyce Diorio.
At the 1995 IMTA, Katie’s dancing skills got her to the finals and she was selected to dance as one of the five best in her division. Her adorable routine solidified her triple threat status!
