Happy Halloween from IMTA!

Looking for something spooky tonight? Several IMTA alumni deliver Halloween thrills and chills!



Check out the must-see scary thriller The Haunting of Molly Hartley. IMTA alum Haley Bennett plays the title role in the new horror movie that has everyone talking! A teenage girl discovers that her parents made a pact with the devil to save her life in The Haunting of Molly Hartley. When the devil comes to collect, she must figure out how she can save herself. The movie is directed by Micky Lidell and also stars Chace Crawford. Haley competed at the 2001 IMTA Convention where she received attention from the agents and managers who were there scouting for new talent. Watch her in her latest starring role as Molly Hartley in the feature film opening today nationwide!

IMTA alum Grace Thorsen stars in the comedy horror, My Name is Bruce. Grace plays the lead female role, Kelly, in the movie about a monster who is killing people in a small mining town in Oregon. Grace won Actress of the Year at the IMTA convention in Los Angeles, January 2007. My Name is Bruce will be screened in New York City Halloween weekend with a Q & A session with Bruce Campbell. IMTA alum Mika Boorem is guest-starring on tonight's episode of Ghost Whisperer. Season 4 Episode 5 titled 'Bloodline". Ghost Whisperer is the Halloween primetime show on CBS. In this episode, Mika plays a murdered athletic teenager who is haunting a family that is not her own. Since attending IMTA in New York in 1994, Mika has guest starred on various television shows including The Drew Carey Show, Ally McBeal, Touched By An Angel, and Dawson's Creek.

Elijah Wood update!!


Check out the gorgeous shot of IMTA alum Elijah Wood on the cover of the German magazine Gala Men!! He is also the voiceover for The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, the third chapter in the popular Legend of Spyro trilogy. This exciting new game is currently available for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION3, Wii, PlayStation2 and Nintendo DS. Reprising their roles as the characters of Spyro and his mentor Ignitus, are two popular Hollywood leading actors, Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman. Joining them in the cast of voices is Mark Hamill, Wayne Brady and Christina Ricci. In the last game of the trilogy, Sypro teams up with Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most hardest mission. The game has two new twists; Spyro can now fly at any time and players can drop-in and out. The new co-op feature allows players to complete the game as either Spyro or Cynder.
Elijah is in post production on an animated action adventure film called 9, a post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened. This film is scheduled to be in theaters in the Fall of 2009. Elijah got his start at IMTA in 1989 and has starred in over 40 feature films. His film Happy Feet won a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Children's Award in London! Elijah provides the voice over for the main character Mumble. Elijah has even started his own music label!

Ashton Kutcher to star in Five Killers!

Ashton Kutcher will be starring in a new film called Five Killers. According to Variety, "Lionsgate has set Ashton Kutcher to star in and Robert Luketic to direct Five Killers, an action comedy that will begin production early next year. Kutcher will play a former hit man whose life is turned upside down because someone from his past has paid a group of killers to bump him off. Lionsgate acquired the project as a spec script by Bo DeRosa, and Ted Griffin is doing a rewrite Scott Aversano is producing along with Kutcher and his Katalyst Productions partner Jason Goldberg."
Ashton is also set to star in Spread. In this comedy about a serial dater and his ex girlfriend, he plays Nicki. Ashton recently launched a web series called Blah Girls. This cutting-edge show is an animated series featuring celebrity news and gossip. Check out Blah Girls Blog celebrity blog for all the latest news delivered in a unique interactive environment! The Blah Girls are scheduled to to air episodes on Mondays and Thursdays on Blahgirls.com. It is also hosted on YouTube, Yahoo Videos, MySpace video, Hulu and most other video hosting sites.

Ashton Kutcher competed at IMTA at the New York, 1997 Convention where competed with another IMTA alum and superstar Josh Duhamel. Ashton won Most Sought After Male Model, signed with Next Models and went stright to Fashion week ! He then was cast in an upcoming Fox comedy called Teenage Wasteland, the title was later changed to That 70's Show and Ashton was cast as the lovable Kelso! He started producing shows, such as Punk'd, Beauty and the Geek and Miss Guided. His movie and television roles include The Guardian, Dude, Where's My Car? which also stars fellow IMTA alum Seann William Scott, The Butterfly Effect, A Lot Like Love, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas. Ashton was recently featured in a huge international advertising campaign for Nikon.

Andrea Debevc Update!

She was recently in Paris shooting for the magazine Rose Buzz and has appeared in billboards for Air France. Currently, she is Greece working on some new modeling jobs.

Brooke Burns featured on U. Magazine!

Brooke Burns was featured on the cover of U. Magazine, the national college magazine for campuses all over the country. In the exclusive interview by Candice Aguilar, Brooke explains her life as an actress, as a mom, her favorite pastimes and her latest movie Trial By Fire.

When asked about Trial By Fire, she states, "I wanted to do Trial By Fire immediately after I read the script because my character plays the role of the son her father never had. She's a firefighter, she's tough, she's strong, not a lot of makeup and frills... I loved the physicality of the role and taking on a completely different role than the fluffy, pretty girl."

Brooke tells readers in U. Magazine about her start in the entertainment business. "I moved to Europe when I was 16... I lived in Paris, Milan and Germany. I was doing editorial, catalog work, some runway, a little bit of everything." Brooke competed at the IMTA convention in 1994 in Los Angeles which started her career and helped her become the successful model and actress she is today.

Her resume includes such projects as: Baywatch, Dog Eat Dog, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, North Shore, Miss Guided, Pepper Dennis, The Salon and The Art of Travel. Brooke is currently working on a new drama called Mistresses for Lifetime. She is in post-production on the film Dancing Trees.

Eva Longoria on the cover of Allure!

Check out this gorgeous cover photo of IMTA alum Eva Longoria on Allure magazine's November issue! Featuring her adorable trend-setting new haircut, Eva's natural beauty shines! Eva is world-famous for playing the pivotal character Gabrielle Solis in ABC's hit series Desperate Housewives. This Season is set five years in the future after the events of Season Four. Eva's character, Gabrielle—a former model—has become a mother. In this plot twist, she has evolved from glamorous model to a housewife who cares for her blind husband and their two daughters.



Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 and had 38 agencies and managers interested in representing her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention. Eva told Pageantry Magazine that, “The first day they signed me I had four auditions...It was pretty fast.” Eva is currently appearing in a new ad campaign for the computer giant Microsoft!! Over her career she has been in numerous magazines, movie and television shows and even has her own charity called Eva's Hero's!

IMTA alumni films at the Austin Film Festival!

The 15th annual Austin Film Festival screened some of the best upcoming films and shorts and IMTA alumni starred in 3 of them! "The Festival is dedicated to furthering the art, craft, and business of screenwriting and filmmaking by providing unique, year-round cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships," according to their official mission statement.

In the comedy horror, My Name is Bruce Grace Thorsen plays the lead, Kelly, which debuted at the Austin Film Festival. The story revolves around a monster who is killing people in a small mining town in Oregon. Grace won the title of Actress of the Year at IMTA convention in Los Angeles, January 2007. Her films include the dramatic Sixes and the One Eyed King, See Me Dance and she has appeared in a television series called Pastor Greg. Grace has many national commercials on her resume and was a spokesperson for Lad Advertising! Grace is in post-production on Calvin Marshall, a baseball comedy movie. Another very talented IMTA alum's film screened at the Austin film Festival; Seann William Scott in the hilarious Role Models! In this film, Seann plays Wheeler, an immature energy drink salesman. When he and his partner in sales get in trouble with the law, they have to perform 150 hours as Big Brother mentors. This leads to hilarious situations and shenanigans. Seann competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 1995. His break-through role was as Stifler in the hit comedy American Pie and in the cult movie Dude Where's my Car? which had him teaming up with a fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher. He has also starred in The Dukes of Hazzard, The Rundown, Bulletproof Monk, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Trainwreck: My Life as an Idiot, Southland Tales and The Promotion. His most recent film, Mr. Woodcock was a top ten box office hit! Role Models in scheduled to be released in theaters November 7!


IMTA alum Jill Wagner's new feature film Splinter also screened at this year's annual Austin Film Festival! You can get a sneak peak by watching the trailer above! Jill plays Polly Watt, the female lead in the film. A leading horror site describes the plot as, "The creature-feature is set in and around a quiet gas station on a lonely freeway, where a terrifying virus-like monster inhabits the bodies of its victims and drives them with a relentless lust for blood. The virus monster twists the bodies of its prey into the shapes best suited to carry out its unrelenting desire to infect more victims and kill again." Jill competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2001 where she won Female Model of the Year! Many people know Jill as the Lincoln Mercury car girl. She played an operative on fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher's hilarious show Punk'd and while on the show she punk'd Katie Holmes, yet another IMTA alum! Her television roles include Monk, Dr. Vegas, starring as Larrin in Stargate Atlantis, Blade: The Series, and she starred in the independent films Junebug and Shifted. Jill was a co-host of the hit reality summer series, Wipeout!

Aria Wallace in Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid!

IMTA alum Aria Wallace plays Roxy Hunter and her latest adventure, Roxy Hunter and the Myth of the Mermaid is available now on DVD!! In this story, Roxy is trying to get a local journalism award but ends up bringing a strange amnesiac home. When this stranger Roxy calls Annie, returns dripping wet from the lake several nights in a row, Roxy decides Annie is a mermaid and she has to her help to get home.
Aria competed at the New York, New York 2001 IMTA Convention where she won several awards in both modeling and acting. Shortly after competing at IMTA, she landed her first co-starring role on The Bernie Mac Show. Aria has subsequently appeared on numerous TV shows, including Desperate Housewives, with stars fellow IMTA alum Eva Longoria and Lyndsy Fonseca, Charmed, That 70's Show with another IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher, Judging Amy, Criminal Minds, CSI: Miami, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and What Should You Do? Aria was also in the feature film The Perfect Man with Hilary Duff and Heather Locklear. Aria has recently appeared in some really cool ads for Limited Too clothing store!! Aria has also launched a new clothing for La Sensa Girl!

Katie Holmes Guest-Stars on Eli Stone!




Tune in tonight to see IMTA alum Katie Holmes guest-star on ABC’s Eli Stone. She will be playing a non-profit attorney in this episode called Grace. Katie displays some of her many talents on this show and according to Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment, "She was fabulous. It’s a great role for her. There’s actually some singing and dancing that she does, and she’s exquisite.” Katie is currently appearing on Broadway in Arthur Miller’s All My Son which runs from October 16 and runs through January 11, 2009.


Katie competed at IMTA twice, in 1993 and 1995 . She participated in seminars and workshops which got her noticed by industry greats Al Onorato, David Guillod and Bobby Moresco. When Katie returned a couple of years later to present awards at IMTA, she debuted the first fifteen minutes of the pilot episode of Dawson's Creek. The entire ballroom was riveted by this ground-breaking stylish teen drama and Katie received thunderous applause! On that special night, she gave us a very nice interview saying:


"Let's just say a girl from Toledo, Ohio wouldn't end up cast in a Hollywood movie if it weren't for IMTA!"

Renee Alway on The Tyra Banks Show!


IMTA alum Renee Alway is appearing on today's episode of Modelville! The Tyra Banks Show promotes Modelville on their official website:

"In case you missed this huge news: Tyra and Carol's Daughter are teaming up to give former Top Model contestants a second chance to relive their dreams. Brian Kehoe on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agecy!

IMTA alum Brian Kehoe is making special guest appearance on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency tonight. Catch Brian in the all new drama as he tries to return to a shot that was booked before Janice kicked him out of the model house. Janice and Brian's tumultuous relationship is one of the most compelling reasons to watch the show. This is Brian's second season on the show.

Brian competed at IMTA in 2001 and went on to work for Click LA, Vane’s Men and LA Models before hitting it big with the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency TV show. He is one of the models featured on the show and Janice advises viewers to keep a close eye on Brian Kehoe - a model from Reno, Nevada. While she used to consider him one of her favorites, a guy who possesses the elusive “it” factor, she also said he exhibits “bratty” behavior that forces her to put her foot down. “He’s wonderful,” she said. “But you see me at odds with this kid. Bobby Moresco's Crash on Starz!



Longtime IMTA friend and Oscar winner Bobby Moresco's critically acclaimed film Crash has been adapted into an original television series! You will definitely want to watch this provocative 13 episode drama series. Bobby is producing the series along with the film's writer-director, Paul Haggis. It's got a great cast including film icon Dennis Hopper as Ben Cendars, a once-successful hip-hop producer who is struggling to get back on top. You can watch the first two episodes in the Crash screening room online now or watch the premiere episode tonight on Starz! network on television.


For more than 15 years, Bobby has been conducting acting workshops and looking for new talent at IMTA conventions with his manager, Al Onorato, while Bobby's daughter Amanda has worked with IMTA behind the scenes.

Amanda and Bobby just announced their third feature film! Moresco Productions and Papillon Picture Company announced today that Amanda Moresco's script entitled Red Right Return has begun pre-production. Red Right Return will mark the third time that the father-daughter team of Amanda and Bobby Moresco have collaborated. Their previous works include Prince and The Pauper (2007), which Bobby executive-produced, and Kings of Appletown (due out December, 2008), which was written by Amanda and directed by Bobby Moresco.

Deprece Reddick on Chocolate News!


Deprece Reddick is guest-starring as Laron on the new Comedy Central magazine show Chocolate News. This hilarious new show is hosted and co-executive produced by David Alan Grier. Deprece is featured on episode #5 of the show. The show is a parody of news and current events and everyone and everything is fair game for Grier and his team of investigators who look at inherently urban pop culture topics. Chocolate News premieres tonight!

Deprece competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2002. He signed with MGC and Kazarian, Spencer & Associates. He has guest-starred on the television shows Crossing Jordan, ER, JAG, Judging Amy and Pretty Persuasion.

Jill Wagner in Splinter!

IMTA alum Jill Wagner's new feature film Splinter is premiering today at this year's annual Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Hollywood! You can get a sneak peak by watching the trailer above! Splinter is getting rave reviews! Fangoria.com says Splinter is,"one of the year's best independent horror films." The famed horror magazine and website Fangoria is also hosting a free screening in New York City on October 24th so click through on the link for all the details!

Tye Olson in Tru Loved!


IMTA alum Tye Olson has a new movie called Tru Loved coming out on October 17th and the trailer is out now!!! According to Los Angeles Daily News: Out In Hollywood with Greg Hernandez, "Anyone attending closing night of Outfest in downtown LA a few weeks from now is in for a really wonderful treat when they see Tru Loved. I watched a screener last night and absolutely loved it! It's the new film by writer-director Stewart Wade who also did Coffee Date. This is about an extremely well-adjusted high schooler named Tru who is the new kid at her So Cal suburban high school and has two moms and two dads."

This just in! Tye Olson is the Winner of BEST ACTOR at CLIP Film Festival for his lead role in Watercolors! This movie is about a talented young artist named Danny Wheeler played by Tye. Tye competed at IMTA New York in the Summer of 2005 where he received a lot of attention for his strong acting abilities and his talent. Right after the convention he drove to Los Angeles and only four months later he booked the leading role in Watercolors. He also has a supporting role as Emil in the dramatic film, Brother's War. His other projects include the movies South of Pico, Cougar Club and Out at the Wedding. He has been featured in many music videos including songs by Hellogoodbye, Fall Out Boy and Blue October.

Riley Smith in Night and Day!!


IMTA alum, Riley Smith has just signed onto a new TV Pilot for TNT called Night and Day. This exciting television show is crime drama written and produced by Joel Surnow who created the amazing tv show 24! He will be shooting on location in New Mexico all next month and the show is scheduled for release in the summer of 2009!
Riley competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Model of the Year for his age division. IMTA INSIDER: Riley was roommates with Ashton Kutcher in New York city when they were both competing at IMTA that year! Riley has been busy working in television and movies ever since.

Riley has appeared in many notable television shows and films such as: Drive, 7th Heaven, Freaks and Geeks, Gideon's Crossing, Boston Public, CSI: Miami, 24, Radio, Eight Legged Freaks, Weapons, and the recently wrapped the thriller Gallowwalkers. Riley is also very musically talented and has released a great CD with his band The Life of Riley! They are currently working on material for their new album. You can listen their songs on his official band MySpace.

Kunal Sharma, Jeff Braine and Brittany Curran in The Adventures of Food Boy!

The Adventures of Food Boy starring three IMTA alumni Brittany Curran, Jeff Braine and Kunal Sharma, is now available on DVD!! Brittany plays Shelby, Jeff plays Dylan and Kunal plays the role of Joel in this comedy about a boy who can make food magically appear. The film was screened at the Kids First Best of 2008 Film Festival on Saturday, October 4th in North Hollywood, CA. It was held at the Academy of Television Arts & Science which is where the Emmys are held. The Adventures of Food Boy was nominated by Kids FIRST as one of the Best Independent Feature Films for Kids in 2008!!!

Kunal competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. He recently competed in the Disney Channel Games with TWO fellow IMTA alumni: Moises Arias (who was a fellow yellow teammate!) and Alyson Stoner. He has finished filming Legally Blondes, the third installment in the Legally Blonde movies. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana.

Since Jeff Braine competed at IMTA, he has been busy working on many television shows and movies. He has appeared in shows such as Phil of the Future, Drake & Josh, and Malcom in the Middle.

Brittany competed at IMTA and signed with industry greats Diane Hardin and Judy Savage. Brittany plays the lead role of Shelby, one of Ezra’s (Lucas Grabeel) close friends in The Adventures of Food Boy. Brittany has had recurring guest roles on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody and Drake and Josh. She starred in the Universal release The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It with Emily Osment and Cody Linsley which was released last year. In her newest movie Diamond Dog Caper, Brittany plays the main character's self-involved older sister Lilly.

Moises on Studio DC!

IMTA alum Moises Arias guest-stars on Studio DC: Almost Live, the new hilarious variety show that marks the return of the famous Muppets to television! The Muppets team up with popular Disney stars for an all-new variety show. Moises will be on the episode hosted by Selena Gomez! The premiere of this episode is Sunday October 5 at 8:00 ET on the Disney Channel.

Moises will be appearing in a skit with Statler and Waldorf(the famous Muppet critics) where they will teach him and Jake T. Austin from Wizards of Waverly Place how to be entertainment critics.


Moises stars as Rico on the Disney Channel's hit series, Hannah Montana. Moises Arias competed IMTA in Los Angeles in 2005 with his brother Mateo. Shortly after IMTA, Moises got his break with appearances on Everybody Hates Chris and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before landing the role of Rico! He made his feature film debut in 2006 starring in Nacho Libre opposite Jack Black. Moises will next appear in the Disney TV movie Dadnapped with fellow Hannah Montana co-star Emily Osment.

IMTA Star Power Rocks the Vote!

IMTA alumni Ashton Kutcher and Eva Longoria are joining a star-studded roster of Hollywood's hottest celebrities who are encouraging all Americans to vote! The unique public service announcements are causing quite a buzz with their attention-getting message. Declare Yourself is a nonpartisan national nonprofit campaign that encourages eligible 18+ to register and vote in the 2008 Presidential election.

Ashton Kutcher competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Most Sought After Male Model. Eva Longoria competed at IMTA in 1998 and received 38 callbacks from agents and managers who wanted to represent her. Both of these IMTA alumni celebrities are feature film and television stars, celebrity spokesmodels and producers of huge Hollywood projects who still find time to rock the vote!

Another IMTA alum is in Ohio this weekend encouraging support for her candidate of choice. Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki will make weekend stops at five college campuses and six cities including the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University on Saturday.

Joey Hagler to star in Little Wonders!

IMTA alum Joey Hagler just booked a role in the upcoming feature film called Little Wonders. He recently moved to Los Angeles and went to audition for Little Wonders, his very first LA audition and he booked it!!!! This first major principal role was booked through casting director Patrick Baca. In the film, Joey plays a key role in a tale of several lives and separate stories all coming together with one underlying purpose.

Joey competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2006. After competing he signed with BLT management and put his soccer skills to work in a print ad for Nike! He also did a shot for the Euro Sport catalog.
