Entertainment Weekly has a quote from IMTA alum Brandon about the upcoming sequel to Superman Returns! In the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly in the "Deal Report" section, Brandon is qouted as saying, "As far as I know it is going to be called 'Superman: Man of Steel'... I was told we should start filming early next year," he says. "I have to get back to the gym. I've let myself go."Brandon competed at IMTA in 1999 in New York City and was a favorite with the agents, managers and casting directors. Routh was chosen for the role of Superman following an exhaustive search that spanned the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. Thousands of candidates were interviewed before the final selection was made. Prior to his break through role as the Man of Steel, Routh was best known for his soap work, including roles on One Life to Live and the MTV nighttime soap, Undressed. He's also had guest-starring roles on Cold Case, Will & Grace, and Gilmore Girls. Brandon recently wrapped the dramatic film, Life is Hot in Cracktown which tells various stories of how drugs have infiltrated the inner-city streets. We are all excited about seeing this super talented IMTA star fly again!
