Brittany Curran Supports One Day Without Shoes Campaign!


IMTA alum Brittany Curran is a supporter of the TOM'S Shoes One Day Without Shoes campaign! According to Just Jared: "Haley Ramm, Brittany Curran, Drew Seeley and Amy Paffrath ... shed their shoes to spread the word about the importance of a single pair of shoes to a person’s life. The One Day Without Shoes event shines a spotlight on the tragic circumstances experienced by so many around the world. TOM'S Shoes developed the idea so that people around the world would go barefoot and experience what the millions of people living without shoes go through on a daily basis."

Brittany stars on the hit TNT series Men of a Certain Age as Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. She has had recurring roles on The Suite Life on Deck, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Drake and Josh.

Brittany Curran and Brock Ciarlelli Nominated for a Young Artist Award!



IMTA alum Brock Ciarlelli is nominated for an award for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A TV SERIES, Recurring Young Actor for his performance on the TV sereis The Middle. Brock plays the recurring role of Brad Bottig, the new love interest of one of main characters, Sue. Brock competed at IMTA in New York City where he won Winner of Best Monolgue! He is currently in post production on 2.0.


Brittany Curran is nominated for BEST SUPPORTING ROLE IN A TV SERIES COMEDY OR DRAMA for her performance in Men of a Certain Age! Brittany plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. The Award Ceremony will take place in Studio City, Ca. on Sunday March 13, 2011!

Other IMTA alums who have been won or been nominated for this prestigious award include: Sofia Vassilieva, who competed at IMTA in 2000. She won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! Joseph Castanon (IMTA 2004) was nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A SHORT FILM for a Young Actor in the film Santa's Little Helper where he portrayed Marlon; and Kayley Stallings (IMTA 2006) was nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN LIVE THEATER for her role in the play How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

Americus Abesamis Update!

Check out Americus Abesamis' new advertisement for Volkswagen! Americus, an IMTA alumni, has been busy auditioning for everything. Americus shot this commercial over the summer in June in Beijing, China. He was invited back in July to Shanghai, China to appear live for Volkswagen CC Event. Americus competed at IMTA in 1999 and 2000!












Americus and fellow IMTA alum Brittany Curran were Award's Night presenters at our January IMTA Convention in Los Angeles. Brittany is starring on Ray Ramano's hit show Men of a Certain Age. Americus recently guest-starred on an episode of How I Met Your Mother in the episode called "Bad News".

Brittany Curran on Men of a Certain Age Season 2!


Did you see IMTA alum Brittany Curran on the premiere of season two of her new hit series Men of A Certain Age last night? If you missed it, there is an encore viewing tonight! Brittany recently tweeted: "BrittanyCurran: Me back stage at my show Men of A Certain Age. It starts airing on Dec 6th TNT at 10pm!" Brittany plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. Next week's episode is called If I Could I surely Would and Brittany will be starring in it.Brittany's film Legally Blondes was nominated for Best Feature Film of the Year for Kids First: A Coalition for Quality Kids Programming! The film also stars IMTA alum Kunal Sharma. Brittany played a lead role in The Adventures of Food Boy and co-starred with Kunal! She has had recurring guest roles on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Drake and Josh and been on Ghost Whisperer. Brittany starred in the movies The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It and in the movie Diamond Dog Caper.

Brittany is on the TNT series Men of a Certain Age, which was recently picked up for a 2nd season! Brittany plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. IMTA alum Brittany Curran new series called Men of a Certain Age has been picked up for a 2nd season! Brittany plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. Brittany shared with HTZ hotline the following;" "I'm on the set of Suite Life, just spoke with the MOACA executive producer Mike Royce and found out Men of a Certain Age got picked up for a second season!" Brittany spilled about the good news. "I'm still freaking out! So glad Ray Romano is still my daddy :)."

Brittany Curran in Men of a Certain Age!


IMTA alum Brittany Curran has a new series premiering December 7, called Men of a Certain Age. She plays Lucy, the daughter of the lead character played by Ray Romano. According to the Wall Street Journal, "The series, which debuts Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. Eastern time, stars Mr. Romano, Scott Bakula and Andre Braugher as a group of childhood friends who find themselves uncertainly navigating middle age." The show will be airing on TNT and Brittany plays a series regular!

Brittany's film Legally Blondes was nominated for Best Feature Film of the Year for Kids First: A Coalition for Quality Kids Programming! The film also stars IMTA alum Kunal Sharma. Brittany plays Tiffany, the prettiest, most popular and feared girl at Pacific Prep school. She recently guest starred as Kristy Marks on Ghost Whisperer. Brittany played the lead role of Shelby, one of Ezra’s (Lucas Grabeel) close friends in The Adventures of Food Boy co- starring with Kunal! She has had recurring guest roles on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Drake and Josh. Brittany also starred in the Universal release The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It with Emily Osment and Cody Linsley which was released last year. In the movie Diamond Dog Caper, Brittany plays the main character's self-involved older sister Lilly.

Brittany Curran and Kunal Sharma Nominated for Kids First Award!

Brittany Curran is in New Mexico to attend the award ceremony of Kids First: A Coalition for Quality Kids Programming. Brittany's film Legally Blondes was nominated for best feature film (ages 12-18) of the year! The film also stars IMTA alum Kunal Sharma. Brittany plays Tiffany, the prettiest, most popular and feared girl at Pacific Prep school.

Brittany has a new series airing December 7, called Men of a Certain Age. She plays Lucy, the daughter of lead character played by Ray Romano. Kunal competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. He is featured in the TV showIts Always Sunny in Philadelphia airing December 3, on FX . He has a recurring role as Faisal. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such as Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana. He recently completed production for Frank the Rat and Sacred Journey. He is in production on the feature film The Kids Are All Right starring as Jai. It's a comedy starring Annette Benning, Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo scheduled for release in 2010!

Two IMTA alumni in Legally Blondes!




IMTA alumni Brittany Curran and Kunal Sharma star in Legally Blondes which premieres Sunday, August 2nd on ABC Family! Brittany plays Tiffany, the prettiest, most popular and feared girl at Pacific Prep school. When twins Izzy and Annie who are Elle Wood's (Reese Witherspoon from Legally Blonde) cousins show up, the competition gets fierce! Kunal plays the brainy and loyal friend, Vivek! This marks the second time Brittany and Kunal have worked together on a movie!


Brittany recently guest starred as Kristy Marks on Ghost Whisperer. She is also starring in a new dramedy called Men of a Certain Age! The show will be airing on TNT and Brittany plays a series regular, Lucy, Ray Romano's daughter. Brittany Curran on Ghost Whisperer Tonight!

Brittany will be guest starring on as Kristy Marks on Ghost Whisperer tonight! The episode is titled Slow Burn. Brittany is also starring in a new dramedy called Men of a Certain Age! The show will be airing on TNT and Brittany plays a series regular, Lucy, Ray Romano's daughter. Her movie Legally Blondes is due out on DVD in April and may be airing on Disney & ABC Family this summer!!

Brittany competed at IMTA and signed with industry greats Diane Hardin and Judy Savage. She plays the lead role of Shelby, one of Ezra’s (Lucas Grabeel) close friends in The Adventures of Food Boy. Brittany has had recurring guest roles on The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, The Suite Life on Deck, and Drake and Josh. She starred in the Universal release The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It with Emily Osment and Cody Linsley and Dog Gone.

Kunal Sharma, Jeff Braine and Brittany Curran in The Adventures of Food Boy!

The Adventures of Food Boy starring three IMTA alumni Brittany Curran, Jeff Braine and Kunal Sharma, is now available on DVD!! Brittany plays Shelby, Jeff plays Dylan and Kunal plays the role of Joel in this comedy about a boy who can make food magically appear. The film was screened at the Kids First Best of 2008 Film Festival on Saturday, October 4th in North Hollywood, CA. It was held at the Academy of Television Arts & Science which is where the Emmys are held. The Adventures of Food Boy was nominated by Kids FIRST as one of the Best Independent Feature Films for Kids in 2008!!!

Kunal competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. He recently competed in the Disney Channel Games with TWO fellow IMTA alumni: Moises Arias (who was a fellow yellow teammate!) and Alyson Stoner. He has finished filming Legally Blondes, the third installment in the Legally Blonde movies. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana.

Since Jeff Braine competed at IMTA, he has been busy working on many television shows and movies. He has appeared in shows such as Phil of the Future, Drake & Josh, and Malcom in the Middle.

Brittany plays the lead role of Shelby, one of Ezra’s (Lucas Grabeel) close friends in The Adventures of Food Boy. IMTA Alums on the Disney Games Today!

Alyson Stoner, Kunal Sharma and Moises Arias competed at the Disney Channel Games which are airing today Saturday August 2 8/7c on the Disney Channel. The games were played April 28 to May 2 at Disney's Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort. There were Disney Channel stars from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Japan. The young stars played for the Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright charities. For more information visit their official site.Kunal Sharma competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. Displaying his acting talents in IMTA competitions such as monologues, sitcoms and cold read, Kunal was spotted by agents and managers where he received offers of representation and scholarships to film courses at leading film schools. His movies The Cheetah Girls 3 : One World recently aired on the Disney Channel. Kunal plays Amar in the telefilm that was shot on location in India. He just finished filming Legally Blondes, the third installment in the Legally Blonde movies. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana. He also stars in the independent film, The Adventures of Food Boy with another IMTA alum, Brittany Curran! IMTA alum Alyson Stoner starred in the smashingly successful Disney movie Camp Rock with The Jonas Brothers! Alyson competed at IMTA in New York City in 2000. She starred in Alice Upside Down, the Cheaper by the Dozen movies, co-hosted Disney's Mike's Supershort Show for four years and is featured in an exercise program using the Wiifit. She has also guest-starred on Drake and Josh, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and That's So Raven. Alyson voices the character of Isabella in the Disney animated show Phineas and Ferb which Disney recently announced renewed for another season.

Moises competed at IMTA in 2005 and started booking roles right away. He has appeared on the big screen in the Jack Black comedy Nacho Libre. He guest-starred on the television shows Everybody Hates Chris, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. You can catch Moises on Hannah Montana now on the Disney Channel and soon on the big screen when The Perfect Game will be released next Friday August 8.

IMTA Alumni Films at The Newport Beach Film Festival!

Several IMTA alumni are starring in movies which showcase their talents this week at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. The acclaimed Festival will host premieres, events and galas in beautiful Newport Beach, CA. Among the prestigious offerings will be six movies that star seven IMTA alumni!


Lie to Me stars two IMTA alumni, Steve Sandvoss and Brandon Routh. This movie is a romantic comedy about best friends, love and marriage. Brandon competed at IMTA in 1999 in New York City and is best known as Superman/Clark Kent in Superman Returns. Steve competed at the L.A. 2003 IMTA Convention where he caught the eye of Al Onorato, the same manager who started Elijah Wood and Katie Holmes' careers. The Festival will be the world-premiere for this film! You can watch the trailer here:



Alyson Stoner stars as the 11 year old Alice McKinley in Alice Upside Down, a coming of age drama about a teenage girl who is mourning the death of her mother. To cope with her grief, she escapes into a vivid fantasy life which sometimes gets her into trouble. Alyson competed at IMTA in New York City in 2000 and is one of young Hollywood's most popular actresses. Her new Disney movie Camp Rock will air on June 20. Alyson will be at the Newport Film Festival signing autographs at the premiere of Alice Upside Down. Brittany Curran has two films appearing in this festival: Adventures of Food Boy and Diamond Dog Caper. Brittany competed at IMTA and signed with industry greats Diane Hardin and Judy Savage. In her movie Diamond Dog Caper, Brittany plays the main character's self-involved older sister Lilly in this hilarious comedy about diamond thieves and their dog. In Adventures of Food Boy Brittany plays Shelby in this comedy which is about a boy who can make food magically appear.

IMTA Alum Kunal Sharma is also part of the cast of Adventures of Food Boy! He plays the role of Joel in the movie. Kunal recently did an interview promoting the film and he mentions his IMTA experience:

Hi Kunal. It’s great to see you again, and thanks for spending some time with us today. To start, can you tell us how you got into acting?
Though I always had an interest in the performing arts, I began to actively pursue it after participating in IMTA. This is a nationwide talent competition held in Los Angeles where kids are able to showcase their acting prowess as well as get a chance to meet people from the industry. Thereafter, I began to take some acting classes in LA and this solidified my passion.

The Art of Travel is also playing and stars IMTA alum from 1994 Los Angeles Brooke Burns. The film tells the story about a young man who goes to South America on his honeymoon alone after his wedding falls apart. Brooke is starring as Darlene Loren in this adventure movie.You can catch Brooke on TV now in the hilarious comedy produced by fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher, in Miss Guided. Jessica Biel is starring in the short film Hole in the Paper Sky. This film revolves around the self discovery a young doctoral student learns when he saves a laboratory dog and finds love. Jessica has made an impact in Hollywood ever since she competed at IMTA in 1994. After competing at IMTA, her breakthrough role was as Mary Camden on the very popular WB series 7th Heaven. Hole in the Paper Sky is garnering rave reviews. Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel said, "Bill Purple's Hole in the Sky is 33 minutes of exquisitely observed loneliness and is easily the saddest film in this year's Florida Film Festival. It's a simple story, handsomely mounted and told with pathos by a terrific cast that includes Jessica Biel, Steven Collins and Garry Marshall."

Alyson Stoner and Brittany Curran at the International Family Film Festival Today

Two young and talented IMTA alums Brittany Curran and Alyson Stoner are starring in films which are being shown today at International Family Film Festival in Hollywood, California. Brittany will be premiering her film Diamond Dog Caper and Alyson Stoner's movie Alice Upside Down will also be shown. The International Family Film Festival invites filmmakers from all over the world to share their family friendly movies at this well respected event. This year marks the 13th anniversary of this exciting event and with two IMTA alums showing their work it promises to be very entertaining as well.

Brittany competed at IMTA and signed with Diane Hardin and Judy Savage. In her movie Diamond Dog Caper Brittany plays the main character's self involved older sister Lilly in this hilarious comedy about diamond thieves and their dog. Brittany's onscreen brother, Owen, finds a dog who belongs to three mean thieves who robbed a diamond store and hid the jewels with the dog. The shenanigans which ensue are hilarious. Brittany's has had several guest spots on television shows such as Shark, The Young and the Restless, Drake and Josh, Power Rangers and Mad TV. Her movie roles include 13 Going on 30 and Akeelah and the Bee which also stars another IMTA alum Sara Niemietz . Brittany has also been in various print ads including KFC, Kraft Post Cereal, AT & T, Suave and Chevy. She recently wrapped Legally Blondes and The Adventures of Food Boy.
Alyson Stoner is starring in the movie Alice Upside Down which is showing tonight at the International Family Film Festival. She is also an extremely talented dancer and is a member of a dance group called the JammXKids. She starred in Cheaper by the Dozen, is the voice of Holly Hobbie in the dvd's Holly Hobbie and Friends, of KidRat in the Garfield movie, of Victoria in the movie Lilo and Stitch: The Series and can be heard currently on Disney as the voice of as Isabel in Phineas and Ferb, co- hosted Mike's Super Short Show, and guest starred on Zack and Cody, Drake and Josh, W.I.T.C.H., Thats So Raven, and Step Up. Alyson recently wrapped the much anticipated Disney movie called Camp Rock which will be released this summer.

Brittany Curran in 13 Going 30 Friday on Fox!

Tune into Fox Friday night to see Brittany Curran in an encore presentation of 13 Going on 30. This fun-filled movie is about a young girl who after being embarrassed at her 13th birthday wishes she could hide until she is 30 and her wish comes true.
