Americus Abesamis Update!

IMTA alum Americus Abesamis just booked a Canadian commercial for Subaru Canada and booked two national commercials for Jim Beam and Toro Lawnmowers! He co-starred in Disney's XD Kickin It, Shake It Up, How I Met Your Mother, and the ABC upcoming series Don't Trust The B***h in Apt 23. Americus recently finished filming the movie Little Boy in Mexico. The photo of Americus above is from the on-location shoot.

Americus competed at IMTA in 1999 and 2000! He has gone on to do many national and international ad campaigns including Volkswagen. Americus shared with us at IMTA the following: "I have been in the entertainment business for almost 20 yrs now. I started with the IMTA in 1999. IMTA honed my acting skills and learned the business of acting. I have worked in TV, film, commercials, music videos, and live events. Americus Abesamis Update!

Check out Americus Abesamis' new advertisement for Volkswagen! Americus, an IMTA alumni, has been busy auditioning for everything. Americus shot this commercial over the summer in June in Beijing, China. He was invited back in July to Shanghai, China to appear live for Volkswagen CC Event. Americus competed at IMTA in 1999 and 2000!






Americus and fellow IMTA alum Brittany Curran were Award's Night presenters at our January IMTA Convention in Los Angeles. Brittany is starring on Ray Ramano's hit show Men of a Certain Age. Americus recently guest-starred on an episode of How I Met Your Mother in the episode called "Bad News".

Americus Abesamis on The Office

Americus Abesamis, a three time IMTA alumni recently booked and shot a day player role on NBC series The Office. He will also be shooting a guest star role on an episode of Disney's Hit series The Suite Life on Deck. He will be shooting for a whole week for the episode! Other IMTA alums who have appeared on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody shows include: Brittany Curran, James Glennon, Raini Rodriguez, Moises Arias and Alyson Stoner.

Americus currently can be seen on international commercials in Sweden, United Kingdom, and Israel. Americus Abesamis in Mike Tyson's Punch Out!

IMTA alum Americus Abesamis is featured in Mike Tyson's Punch Out - The Rap Video Video. He appears as King Hippo in this parody rap video for the upcoming Nintendo Wii game Punch Out. Americus was just featured on Hell's Kitchen on Season 5 Episode 4. You can catch an encore viewing of his role on the Disney channel favorite show Hannah Montana! On June 20, in an episode called " We are All on This Date Together" Americus acts alongside IMTA alum and series regular Moises Arias.

Americus Abesamis was just featured on Hell's Kitchen. He appeared on Season 5 Episode 4 and it can be seen on http://www.fox.com/. He appears on the last half of the episode. Two IMTA alums are appearing in the new iCarly: iGo to Japan television movie: Dani Miura and Americus Abesamis. Dani plays a Japanese concert-goer and Americus has the part of the toupee guard in this hilarious new movie about the iCarly cast going to Japan to do their webshow!

In 2005, Dani competed at IMTA and won many prestigious awards including: 4th Place Junior Actress Of The Year, 1st Place Commercial, 2nd Place Soaps, 2nd Place Commercial Print, 4th Place Cold Read, Finalist in solo singing and dancing, and honorable mention for Team Sing. She is appearing in a Capital One Christmas commercial that just started airing on TV, in Hannah Montana:The Movie, with IMTA alum Moises Arias, an American Idol Promo for David Cook called American Idol:The American Dream and Merry Christmas Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon which airs on December 20. Her other projects include a national Coke commercial, guest spots on Matters of Life and Death, Early Edition, The Disney Channel New Year Special and Payback. Dani is in post production on Mission of Honor a film starring Kevin Costner. She will be starring as the lead in a film called The Company We Keep which will be directed by Roy Capanella.

Americus Abesamis Update!

Americus Abesamis just finished shooting an episode of Nickelodeon's iCarly. He will be involved in 3 part storyline for 2nd season. He also appeared on recent episode of Comedy Central's Mind of Mencia. He just competed in the 2008 US Sumo Nationals in Los Angeles and won the bronze medal in the heavyweight division. He is now ranked #3 Heavyweight US Sumo Wrestler for the United States. Staying busy as an actor, he still finds the time to train and compete in the ancient Japanese sport.

Americus Abesamis' Upcoming Projects

Americus Abesamis, an IMTA Alumni of 1999 and 2000 has been keeping busy during the last few months working various exciting projects. He was recently in Capetown, South Africa working on a print job for a mortgage company ad campaign. Back in the US, he just finished a commercial for Subaru and a promo for a video game called Civilization: Revolution. He has appeared on the cable show for G4 called Attack of the Show and will be appearing in an upcoming episode of Hell's Kitchen on Fox. Watch for Americus to guest-star on the season finale of Hannah Montana which also stars IMTA alum Moises Arias on the Disney Channel.

MTV Movie Award Nominations Include IMTA Alumni Films!

The 2007 MTV Movie Awards nominations were announced this week and IMTA Alumni films are among the honorees! Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest leads the pack as the most-nominated film for this year's MTV Movie Awards. Two IMTA alums appeared in this widely popular movie, Americus Abesamis and Neil Panlasigui.

Click, which co- stars the young IMTA alum Joseph Castanon,also received a nomination for a MTV movie award. Joseph portrays the lead character's ( Adam Sandler) son.

Another young up and coming actor and IMTA alum, Moises Arias's film Nacho Libre is up for an award as well.

One of IMTA's most recognizable actors Josh Duhamel has a movie nominated in a new category: his upcoming film The Transformers: The Movie is competing for 'Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet'. Tune in June 3rd live to see how many of these fabulous IMTA alumni films will be honored by the MTV movie awards.
