IMTA Alum Brooke Burns at the Academy Awards!

IMTA alum Brooke Burns looked gorgeous at the Academy Awards! Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles. After pursuing a modeling career, Brooke starting working in television, appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore and Pepper Dennis. She also hosted the game show/reality show hybrid, Dog Eat Dog. She has also starred in movies such as The Salon and The Art of Travel!

Brooke Burns Stars in Titanic 2!

Brooke Burns stars as Dr. Kim Patterson in the upcoming sequel Titanic 2. The synopsis, according to the producers of the film states: "On the 100th anniversary of the original voyage, a modern luxury liner christened 'Titanic 2', follows the path of its namesake. But when a tsunami hurls an ice berg into the new ship’s path, the passengers and crew must fight to avoid a similar fate." Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 where she was scouted by many managers and agents. After moving to Los Angeles, Brooke started booking roles on Ally McBeal and Baywatch, as well as feature films such as Shallow Hal, Time and Again and The Art of Travel. Brooke has also guest-starred on hit television shows such as Pepper Dennis, Miss Guided, CSI:Miami and Melrose Place.

IMTA Alum Brooke Burns in the new Melrose Place!


Tune in for the premiere of the new Melrose Place! The CW will show the pilot episode tonight at 9/8c (check your local listings.) Brooke plays Vanessa, the wife of Michael Mancini and the mother of his younger son, Noah. She joins an all-star cast including Daphne Zuniga, Josie Bissett and Ashley Simpson.

IMTA Alum Brooke Burns to star on Melrose Place!


Brooke Burns (IMTA 1994) has joined the cast of the new Melrose Place! Brooke plays the role of the current wife of Michael Mancini and the mother of his younger son, Noah. She joins an all-star cast including Daphne Zuniga, Josie Bissett and Ashley Simpson. Melrose Place will premiere September 8, 2009 at 8pm central time on The CW!



After competing at IMTA, Brooke went on to star in such projects as: CSI Miami, Baywatch, Dog Eat Dog, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, North Shore, Miss Guided, Pepper Dennis, The Salon, Death to Supermodels Shallow Hal and The Art of Travel. Brooke Burns in The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!


Celebrate the magic of the holidays with Brooke Burns' new television movie Hallmark's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! In this holiday romance, Brooke plays leading lady Jennifer in a cast that includes Henry Winkler and Warren Christie.

Brooke competed at IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles which started her career and helped her become the successful model and actress she is today. Her resume includes such projects as: Baywatch, Dog Eat Dog, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, North Shore, Miss Guided, Pepper Dennis, The Salon and The Art of Travel. Brooke Burns featured on U. Magazine!

Brooke Burns was featured on the cover of U. Magazine, the national college magazine for campuses all over the country. In the exclusive interview by Candice Aguilar, Brooke explains her life as an actress, as a mom, her favorite pastimes and her latest movie Trial By Fire.

When asked about Trial By Fire, she states, "I wanted to do Trial By Fire immediately after I read the script because my character plays the role of the son her father never had. She's a firefighter, she's tough, she's strong, not a lot of makeup and frills... I loved the physicality of the role and taking on a completely different role than the fluffy, pretty girl."

Brooke tells readers in U. Magazine about her start in the entertainment business. "I moved to Europe when I was 16... I lived in Paris, Milan and Germany. I was doing editorial, catalog work, some runway, a little bit of everything." Brooke competed at the IMTA convention in 1994 in Los Angeles which started her career and helped her become the successful model and actress she is today.

Brooke Burns new game show premieres tonight!


IMTA alum Brooke Burns and TV personality Mark Thompson are the co-hosts for Hole in the Wall, a Japanese-inspired game show. It premieres tonight on Fox at 8 PM to 9 PM ET/PT! Each episode of this exciting new series will have two teams consisting of three people. The members of the teams must try to fit through unusual cut-out shapes in walls that come speeding toward them. If they don’t make it through, then they get knocked into the pool below. The winning team receives $25,000. They will also have an opportunity to win $100,000 more by conquering the “Blind Wall.” Brooke competed at the IMTA convention in 1994 in Los Angeles. She became a very successful model and actress. Her resume includes such projects as: Baywatch, Dog Eat Dog, A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, North Shore, Miss Guided, Pepper Dennis, The Salon and The Art of Travel. Brooke is currently working on a new drama called Mistresses for Lifetime. She is in post production on the film Dancing Trees and a television show called Smokejumpers.

Brooke Burns to host Hole in the Wall

IMTA alum Brooke Burns and TV personality Mark Thompson will host a Japanese-inspired game show called Hole In The Wall. This brand new reality game show will premiere on Thursday, September 11 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET/PT on FOX and is being produced by the same producers as American Idol, called FremantleMedia North America. Brooke Burns in Mistresses

Brooke Burns has been cast in a new drama called Mistresses on Lifetime. According to the Hollywood reporter the show "revolves around a quartet of thirtysomething women who have been friends since college. Combs will play Jane, who gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mom. Burns ("Miss Guided") will play Shannon, an outspoken and sharp attorney. Aytes will play Ava, a bright and spunky soap star." Brooke just wrapped a role as Nicole in the film Dancing Trees and a television show called Smokejumpers. Brooke starred as Lisa Germain in the hilarious TV show Miss Guided. This show was produced by IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher for NBC!

IMTA Alumni Films at The Newport Beach Film Festival!

Several IMTA alumni are starring in movies which showcase their talents this week at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. The acclaimed Festival will host premieres, events and galas in beautiful Newport Beach, CA. Among the prestigious offerings will be six movies that star seven IMTA alumni!


Lie to Me stars two IMTA alumni, Steve Sandvoss and Brandon Routh. This movie is a romantic comedy about best friends, love and marriage. Brandon competed at IMTA in 1999 in New York City and is best known as Superman/Clark Kent in Superman Returns. Steve competed at the L.A. 2003 IMTA Convention where he caught the eye of Al Onorato, the same manager who started Elijah Wood and Katie Holmes' careers. The Festival will be the world-premiere for this film! You can watch the trailer here:



Alyson Stoner stars as the 11 year old Alice McKinley in Alice Upside Down, a coming of age drama about a teenage girl who is mourning the death of her mother. To cope with her grief, she escapes into a vivid fantasy life which sometimes gets her into trouble. Alyson competed at IMTA in New York City in 2000 and is one of young Hollywood's most popular actresses. Her new Disney movie Camp Rock will air on June 20. Alyson will be at the Newport Film Festival signing autographs at the premiere of Alice Upside Down. Alyson recorded a video invitation to invite her fans and filmgoers to the screening that you can watch here:




Brittany Curran has two films appearing in this festival: Adventures of Food Boy and Diamond Dog Caper. Brittany competed at IMTA and signed with industry greats Diane Hardin and Judy Savage. In her movie Diamond Dog Caper, Brittany plays the main character's self-involved older sister Lilly in this hilarious comedy about diamond thieves and their dog. In Adventures of Food Boy Brittany plays Shelby in this comedy which is about a boy who can make food magically appear.

IMTA Alum Kunal Sharma is also part of the cast of Adventures of Food Boy! He plays the role of Joel in the movie. Kunal recently did an interview promoting the film and he mentions his IMTA experience:

Hi Kunal. It’s great to see you again, and thanks for spending some time with us today. To start, can you tell us how you got into acting?
Though I always had an interest in the performing arts, I began to actively pursue it after participating in IMTA. This is a nationwide talent competition held in Los Angeles where kids are able to showcase their acting prowess as well as get a chance to meet people from the industry. Thereafter, I began to take some acting classes in LA and this solidified my passion.

The Art of Travel is also playing and stars IMTA alum from 1994 Los Angeles Brooke Burns. The film tells the story about a young man who goes to South America on his honeymoon alone after his wedding falls apart. Brooke is starring as Darlene Loren in this adventure movie.You can catch Brooke on TV now in the hilarious comedy produced by fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher, in Miss Guided. Jessica Biel is starring in the short film Hole in the Paper Sky. This film revolves around the self discovery a young doctoral student learns when he saves a laboratory dog and finds love. Jessica has made an impact in Hollywood ever since she competed at IMTA in 1994. After competing at IMTA, her breakthrough role was as Mary Camden on the very popular WB series 7th Heaven. Hole in the Paper Sky is garnering rave reviews. Roger Moore of the Orlando Sentinel said, "Bill Purple's Hole in the Sky is 33 minutes of exquisitely observed loneliness and is easily the saddest film in this year's Florida Film Festival. It's a simple story, handsomely mounted and told with pathos by a terrific cast that includes Jessica Biel, Steven Collins and Garry Marshall."

Brooke Burns in The Art of Travel

Brooke Burns is starring in a movie called The Art of Travel which is having a series of premieres; tomorrow in Beverly Hills, other premieres in April include The Philadelphia International Film Festival, The Ohio Oxford Film Festival, The Newport Beach Film Festival and in May, it will show at the Santa Cruz Film Festival.

The film tells the story about a young man who just graduated High school and is getting ready to get married. When his wedding falls apart he goes to South America on his honeymoon alone. Brooke is starring as Darlene Loren in the adventure movie.
Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles. After pursuing a modeling career, Brooke starting working in television, appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore, Time and Again, Urban Decay, Murder on Spec, Pepper Dennis and hosted the game /reality show hybrid, Dog Eat Dog. She has also starred in movies such as The Salon. Her television movie Death to Super Models will have an encore presentation on Showtime on April 9.

Brooke Burns in Miss Guided Tonight

Two IMTA alums will be premiering their talents tonight on ABC! Ashton Kutcher is the executive producer for a new hilarious comedy series! It also stars IMTA alum Brooke Burns as Lisa Germain. Miss Guided is slated to premiere tonight on the ABC Television Network. In the show, a guidance counselor who goes back to her alma mater to work and realizes the high-school experience hasn't changed much. Brooke plays her former nemesis and the school's gorgeous new English teacher. On Friday March 20, Ashton Kutcher who is the series Executive Producer, has Jamie Lynn Spears guest star in an episode with him titled Hot Sub. Ashton plays the role of a sexy substitute Spanish teacher.

Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles. After pursuing a modeling career, Brooke starting working in television, appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore and Pepper Dennis. She also hosted the game show/reality show hybrid, Dog Eat Dog. She has also starred in movies such as The Salon.

Ashton competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won IMTA's "Most Sought After Male Model!" With the most callbacks of any other male model that year, he chose to sign with NEXT MODELS and began working immediately, appearing in many different men's fashion magazines. He stated "I never even went home!" about his immediate success from IMTA. He is known for his work in The Guardian, Dude, Where's My Car?, The Butterfly Effect, and That 70's Show. He didn't limit himself to just modeling and acting, but he also started producing shows, such as Punk'd and Beauty and the Geek. Beauty Talk with Brooke Burns!

Katie Holmes wasn't the only IMTA alum to be featured in the January issue of In Style. Shawna Malcom interviewed Brooke Burns who tells of her beauty secrets - what she does to keep her skin looking radiant and how to get classy and sexy eyes in no time at all.

"One of my favorite [make up tricks] is putting white pencil on the inside of the bottom eyelid for that very awake look. At night if I'm in a hurry, I'll just put on a lot of mascara and black pencil all the way around the inner rim. It's a totally sexy eye in a minute and a half." Brooke tells In Style. "...it's very important to take care of your skin ... the number one thing is sunscreen."

Brooke currently stars in the comedic sitcom Miss/Guided. She competed at IMTA in 1994 and started appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore and Pepper Dennis. She also was the game show host for Dog Eat Dog. Last summer she was in the major motion picture, The Salon.

Happy Birthday to the Cover Girl of In Style, Katie Holmes!

Today is the birthday of IMTA alum, Katie Holmes and you can see her on the cover of the January 2008 issue of In Style magazine! Giorgio Armani described her by stating "Everything about Katie is refreshing. It is unusual today to find an A-list actress who also maintains an endearing quality of girl-next-door charm." The stylist for the shoot, Freddie Leiba chose clothing from Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani and Burberry, which fit right in to Katie's style. "I love seeing how designers put things together- from the fabrics they choose to how they structure their clothes," Katie admits.




In this photoshoot by Mark Abrahams and interview with Johanna Schneller, Katie explains how she handles being a mom, wife, and actress.

Her idea of the perfect day is to "wake up and play with our kids, create a character on a set, get on a plane, and eat dinner with other actors in another city."

Everyone involved in the shoot couldn't help but to tell of Katie's fashionable style and charming personality which made it the perfect start into the new year for In Style magazine.


Katie has grown into much more than just an actress since she competed at IMTA in 1993 and 1995. It is at IMTA where she signed with her manager Al Onorato and immediately started her acting career with the hit television show Dawson's Creek. She then moved on to feautre films such as Teaching Mrs. Tingle, Pieces of April, Batman Begins, and Thank You for Smoking. AJ Trauth on the Disney Channel in an Even Stevens Marathon!


IMTA alum AJ Trauth is featured all weekend on an Even Stevens Marathon. AJ competed at IMTA in the late nineties and has been on various television shows since. He played Allen Twitty on Even Stevens for three years, appeared on Pepper Dennis which starred another IMTA alum, Brooke Burns, and is in the band Mavin. He guest starred on CSI, Numb3rs, Kim Possible, Ghost Whisperer, Reba, and House. AJ recently wrapped the comedy movie The Last Word also starring Ray Romano which is about a guy who makes his living writing suicide notes for people and falls for the sister of a recent client. Don't miss AJ in Even Stevens this weekend on the Disney Channel.

Brooke Burns in The Salon in Theaters Today!!

IMTA alum Brooke Burns has a new comedy film opening this Friday, The Salon. The Salon is a sassy and heart-warming film for the entire family and Brooke plays a character named Tami. It is about a neighborhood beauty salon which the Department of Water and Power is forcing to close due to eminent domain. The owner, workers and community all unite to battle the huge corporate giant and it turns out to be a hilarious and uplifting story.

Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles. After pursuing a modeling career, Burns found her niche on television, appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore and Pepper Dennis. She also hosted the game show/reality show hybrid, Dog Eat Dog. Brooke is currently filming Miss/Guided a comedy centered on a woman who returns to her high school alma mater to become a guidance counselor and the people she works with. This show was created by Ashton Kutcher, another IMTA alum , and his film company Katalyst Films .
