IMTA's Ashley Greene Donated Dress to Support Breast Cancer Research

IMTA alum Ashley Greene is participating with the online auction site eBay to support breast cancer prevention and treatment. She is donating a dress of hers to be auctioned off to raise funds to battle the disease. The funds raised will benenfit 100 participating non-profit organizations including the American Cancer Society, Avon Foundation for Women, Bright Pink, City of Hope and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Ashley competed at IMTA in 2004, is best known for her role in The Twilight Movie series. After she competed at IMTA she shared the following: "I'm so thankful I got the opportunity to be here at IMTA because there are so many people and so many opportunities. I want to come back to IMTA even if do I make something big of it. I definitely want to come back, it was a lot of fun!"

IMTA's Adrianne Palicki Premieres in the 5th Season of Friday Night Lights!

Adrianne Palicki, 2001 IMTA alum, returns for the fifth and final season of hit television show Friday Night Lights! Adrianne plays Tyra Collette, the popular "bad girl", and a central and riveting character. Adrianne is part of the original cast from season one of this amazing television show. In season 3, two other IMTA alums joined the cast: Zach Roerig (IMTA 2003) as Cash and Jeremy Sumpter (IMTA 2000) as lead character J.D. McCoy! Zach is also currently in a lead role on The Vampire Diaries where he plays Matt Honeycutt.

Adrianne first made news when she competed at IMTA in 2001! Her incredible talent and beauty attracted the attention of agency, cast directors and manager scouting for new talent. In an interview with the IMTA Video Crew, she said:

"It was amazing. I love IMTA! I'm so sad it's over."

Her latest project to hit theaters was the horror fantasy Legion. Adrianne recently wrapped the film Red Dawn, a remake of the 1984 action adventure about the U.S. being invaded by Russian and Chinese soldiers. As always, a special thanks to Jup2 for the latest Adrianne Palicki news and photos!

Mackenzie Hannigan in Good Luck Charlie!

IMTA alum Mackenzie Hannigan is guest-starring as Jeremy on Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie! The epsiode is called “Sleepless In Denver” and it will be airing on October 28 on Disney. Mackenzie competed at IMTA in 2002 and quickly landed the role of the Smart & Final spokes kid!

He has also guest-starred on many series including the Ghost Whisperer, Arrested Development, Stacked, Scrubs and Real Time w/Bill Maher. Mackenzie was a voice talent in the animated feature film Happy Feet, which stars another IMTA alum, Elijah Wood!

Elijah Wood Featured in Entertainment Weekly!



A very special issue of Entertainment Weekly is on newsstands now. It's the Twentieth Anniversary Reunion issue and classic casts are reunited. Elijah and his cast mates from Lord of the Rings were photographed in Los Angeles by Michael Muller. Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan and IMTA alum Elijah Wood were featured.

IMTA Alum'89 Elijah Wood is also in a cool video for The Apples in Stereo! After competing at IMTA, Elijah has gone on to star in over 40 feature films. Currently, Elijah is post production on Happy Feet 2 which was done in 3D! This film is scheduled for release in November, 2011. He just released the film The Romantics which fellow IMTA alumni Katie Holes 1993 and 1995 and Josh Duhamel IMTA 1997!

IMTA alum Cameron Ocasio debuts on Broadway!

Ten year old Cameron Ocasio is appearing on Broadway in "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson!" This is his Broadway debut! Cameron plays Andrew Jackson's adopted son. Lyman Goodrich, a member of the IMTA staff, saw the play recently and said,"He's a wonderful new face. This young, talented and charming performer takes the stage with confidence and scene-stealing cuteness. His acting and ease on stage are far more mature than his young age would have you expect." The entire cast is receiving rave reviews (see below)!


Cameron competed at IMTA in New York in 2008. When he competed at IMTA, he won TV Beauty for his talent division. He was 1st Runner Up for both Male Child Model of the Year and Actor of the Year, Talent Division 11. He signed with Shirley Grant Management.

Since competing at IMTA, Cameron has appeared on Saturday Night Live, Gossip Girls, When In Rome and Sesame Street as well as in several national commercials.

Sofia Vassilieva on Medium Tonight!


Have you been watching Medium? IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva's character, Ariel Dubois, is in an new episode tonight called How to Kill a Good Guy. This series is now in it's seventh season! The intriguing series is based on the real-life story of a psychic who uses her abilities to solve.

Sofia, who competed at IMTA in 2000, won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This film is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.

Brandon Routh to film Missing William



Brandon Routh IMTA alum from 1999 is set to star in the indie film Missing William. According to The Wrap in Missing William: "Courtney Ford (Brandon's real life wife) will play an artist living in Rhode Island who is forced to care for her husband after he's tragically injured in a bar fight. As she attempts to nurse him back to health, her childhood sweetheart and unrequited love (Routh) tries to coax her back into living her life again. A complicated love triangle ensues, with the woman torn between the brain-damaged husband she loves and the hunky former flame who got away." Brandon's film Dylan Dog: Dead of Night is set for international release on October 26. Brandon competed at IMTA during the New York, New York 1999 Convention. IMTA insider scoop-he was known as BJ Routh then! Brandon got lots of face time with the agents, managers and casting directors and ended up moving to Los Angeles. He signed with Mara Santino and Ryan Daly who were with Kazarian/Spencer & Associates at that time. Brandon was chosen for the role of Superman following an exhaustive search that spanned the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.

Devon Hobson - New York Fashion Week Runway!

IMTA alum Devon Hobson just walked the runways for New York Fashion Week. She shared the following with us:

"Its Devon Hobson from the Tampa JMT IMTA group in Los Angeles 2010.... I just want to say thank you for everything! I walked in New York's Fashion week this season and was just reflecting back on how it all happened and it all started with you and Barbizon! And I just really want to thank you so much because you started it all and gave me all the confidence I needed. I couldn't of done any of this with out you and the JMT Barbizon team, You guys are the best!

I walked for Adrian Alicea, Cala Osidana Swim, Anna Mcraney, and B Michael. and I also did Nolcha fashion week (Nolcha was like its little own fashion week) in Nolcha I walked for OLA, Alice Yim new York, KWON, Viviene Pash, Afanador, and Stella Simona. As of other jobs, I did a hair job for Redken with Sam Villa, a fashion presentation for Logan Nietzal,and a workshop for Joe McNalley."

Tiffany Thornton at Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green

IMTA's Tiffany Thornton recently took part in Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green. This event took place at New York University's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. According to prnewswire: "Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green is a multi-platform initiative that empowers kids to help the planet. Through the program, kids learn practical ways to help the environment, get their friends involved, track their collective impact and have the opportunity to help Disney decide how to divide $1 million in annual donations to various environmental causes. Kids can join for free at www.Disney.com/projectgreen."Tiffany's hit show Sonny with a Chance is currently airing on The Disney Channel! Tiffany plays Tawni Hart on the show co starring with Demi Lovato. When Tiffany competed at IMTA she showed she was a triple threat demonstrating her talent in all areas: she can act, dance and sing! She recently debuted her new music video called Someday My Prince Will Come which is part of the Diamond Edition DVD release of the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Sean Harju in German GQ!


Check out IMTA's Sean Harju's gorgeous newest shot in German GQ Magazine! In this hot new issue, Sean is photographed by Sergi Pons. Sean has modeled for all the great designers including a campaign for Ralph Lauren with clothing designed for Wimbledon! Sean competed at IMTA in LA in 2006 where he won First Runner Up for Male Model of the Year and signed with the legendary Major Model Management team.

Sean has been featured in numerous magazines and ad campaigns such as: GQ Taiwan, Surface Magazine, Arena Magazine, GQ, Details, and HUGE. He was in the Spring/Summer ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana with fellow IMTA alum and supermodel Tyson Ballou and has modeled for Y-3, Calvin Klein, Dior, Diesel, Thom Brown, Numero Hommes and Adam Lippes.

Josh Duhamel in Life As We Know It!

IMTA's Josh Duhamel is starring in this Fall's must-see romantic comedy Life As We Know It opening in theaters today! In this new film, Josh plays Eric Messer in a story which finds him and co -star Katherine Heigel unexpected caregivers to an infant.

Josh, who is currently filming Transformers 3, competed at IMTA in 1997. He was awarded the prestigious title of Male Model of the Year! Josh edged out fellow competitor Ashton Kutcher to win the big prize. Josh recently debuted his film called The Romantics which co -stars two other IMTA alumni, Katie Holmes, and Elijah Wood! Josh also just signed on to star in the Disney buddy-comedy What's He Got?

Eva Longoria Honored with a prestigious Legacy Award!



IMTA 1998 alum Eva Longoria was in Memphis, TN on Wednesday. She tweeted:

"On my way to Memphis, TN to receive the Legacy Award from the Ntl Civil Rights Museum! Very exciting, can't wait!"

Eva is being honored by the National Civil Rights Museum as a leader in civil and human rights. Eva will receive the Legacy Freedom Award in a ceremony and fundraising banquet. Eva has been busy using her star power to accomplish great things:

Her charitable efforts include Twitchange, Eva's Heroes, The ALMA Awards, Rally for Kids with Cancer, Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Stroke Association, Project HOME and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Eva was recognized as 'Philanthropist of the Year' by Hollywood Reporter in 2009!

When Eva competed at IMTA in 1998, she had 38 agents and managers interested in representing her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention. Eva told Pageantry Magazine that, “The first day they signed me I had four auditions...It was pretty fast.” She quickly moved to Los Angeles and landed guest-starring roles on Beverly Hills 90210, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. In 2003, she took a role as a detective in a TV remake of LA Dragnet and made her big-screen film debut in Carlita’s Secret, and also starred in the films Harsh Times, and The Sentinel. Eva's is well-known as the beautiful Gabrielle Solis on the award-winning Desperate Housewives on ABC.

Jerry Ferrara on Sirius Radio!


IMTA alum Jerry Ferrara recently signed a deal with Sirius Radio! He will be hosting a new sports show about fantasy football. Jerry competed at IMTA in 2000 where he met a talent manager who encouraged him to move to Los Angeles. Jerry was cast in guest-spots on King of Queens, NYPD Blue and many other television shows and films before he landed the breakthrough role of Turtle on Entourage. This hit show is currently airing it's seventh season on HBO!!

Miles Heizer in Parenthood Tonight!

Be sure to tune in to see IMTA alum Miles Heizer in the hit drama Parenthood. Tonight's episode "Date Night" is airing on NBC primetime! This series is based on the hit 80's movie of the same name and it's back for a second season! Miles plays Drew Braverman. The drama is a story of brothers and sisters who have families of their own and the issues and challenges that arise when raising a family.
Miles won Pre-Teen Male Model of the Year and First Runner Up for Pre-Teen Actor of the Year at IMTA in 2004. It was his success at the Convention that led to the family’s decision to relocate to Los Angeles, where he signed the Stein Entertainment Group. His first roles included a guest-starring role on CSI:Miami, followed by a starring role in the short film Paramedic, and guest-star turns on the hit TV shows Bones, Ghost Whisperer, Private Practice and Shark. Miles co-starred in the dramatic feature film Rails and Ties with Kevin Bacon.

Katie on the Cover of Marie Claire Magazine!

IMTA's Katie Holmes is on the cover of this month's issue of Marie Claire! Katie competed at IMTA in 1993 and 1995, where she met and signed with her manager Al Onorato and landed the role as Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek. Since her role on Dawson's Creek, Katie has been in many hit movies such as The Romantics, Go, Pieces of April, Batman Begins, and Mad Money. Katie is currently filming the TV series The Kennedys where she portrays Jackie Kennedy.

Keri Lynn Pratt on Smallville Tonight!

Keri Lynn Pratt, who competed at IMTA in 1996, is joining the cast of Smallville. Keri is playing Kat Grant, a new reporter hired for The Daily Planet Newspaper. She will appear in an episode tonight called The Shield and in next week's show called Isis! Smallville airs in primetime on the CW. Keri Lynn's last movie was the hilarious comedy I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell where she portrayed Kristy.
