IMTA's Regine Nehy in Death at a Funeral!


Regine Neghy plays Martine in the hit comedy Death at a Funeral in theaters now! According to Fandago: "A day in the life of an American family who come together to put a beloved husband and father to rest. As mourners gather at the family home, shocking revelations, festering resentments, ugly threats, blackmail and a misdirected corpse unleash lethal mayhem."
Regine competed at IMTA in New York of 2000. She starred as Samuel L. Jackson's daughter, Celia Turner, in the suspenseful thriller film Lakeview Terrace. Regine played Jacquie in the MTV film Super Sweet Sixteen: The Movie and starred in the the film Pride!

Tyson Ballou in D&G's new Anthology Ad Campaign!







Check out this amazing video of IMTA's Tyson Ballou in a video for D&G's new Anthology fragrance line. After competing at IMTA in 1996 he signed with Ford Models and is now with Wilhelmina New York. He has appeared on runways and in ad campaigns for every top designer, including Jil Sander, Emporio Armani, Moschino, Perry Ellis, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Byblos, BCBG, Valentino Roma and Hugo Boss. IMTA's Alum Amy Acker on Happy Town Tonight!

Amy is starring in a new ABC drama called Happy Town premiering tonight in an episode called "In this Home on Ice". The show takes place in a small town where many unsolved crimes have taken place. After five years of peace and order, new crimes start to happen. Amy plays Rachel Conroy in this creepy new show which is getting alot of press.

Amy competed at IMTA in the nineties and industry great Patrick Baca was integral in scouting and launching her at IMTA. She has starred on Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, October Road, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Dollhouse. She appeared as Kelly Peyton, the assassin, on the series Alias. Amy recently guest starred on the finale of the action adventure TV show Human Targets.

Mackenzie Hannigan on Good Luck Charlie

IMTA alum Mackenzie Hannigan just booked a guest starring role on Disney Channel's Good Luck Charlie! Mackenzie competed at IMTA in 2002 and he quickly landed the role of the Smart & Final spokes kid!

He has also guest-starred on many series such as the Ghost Whisperer, Arrested Development, Stacked, Scrubs and Real Time w/Bill Maher. Mackenzie was a voice talent in the animated feature film Happy Feet, which stars another IMTA alum, Elijah Wood!

Chelsea Harris on the Jonas Show!


IMTA alum '06 Chelsea Harris was just on the hit Disney show Jonas an episode called Beauty and the Beat as the beauty queen, Carrie Sue! (IMTA'04 alum Nicole Gale Anderson has a recurring role on Jonas as Macy Misa.) After competing at IMTA, Chelsea found a a manager and agent and has been working ever since.

She has guest starred on Hannah Montana, Miss Guided which was produced by IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher and had a recurring role on the hit Nickelodeon TV show Just Jordan. She recently wrapped an episode of The Assignment where she portrays Mandy. Look for Chelsea on an encore of Hannah Montana in an episode called My Boyfriend's Jackson and There's Gonna be Trouble on Sunday April 25 on the Disney Channel.

Ashley Greene cast in BUTTER!


IMTA alum Ashley Greene is joining the all-star ensemble cast for the feature film Butter! Hugh Jackman, Alicia Silverstone, Olivia Wilde, Ty Burrell and Rob Corddry have all been announced as stars for the Weinstein Bros. comedy! Ashley has been announced as one of the lead roles! Go Ashley!

According to MTV News:
"Butter is set around a butter-sculpting competition in a small Midwestern town. Garner stars as a woman driven to win the competition, like her husband (Burrell) before her. Those plans are disrupted when a newcomer, a young orphan girl (Yara Shahidi), shows exceptional skill in shaping the dairy product."



Sounds like an unusual premise and like a lot of fun! Can't wait to see Ashley in her role!

IMTA Alum Lyndsy Fonseca's Kick Ass Dominates!

IMTA alum Lyndsy Fonseca's film Kick Ass dominated at the box office this weekend. According to EW: " Lionsgate’s Kick-Ass grossed an estimated $19.75 million for a second place spot. (With estimates showing spots one and two separated by a remarkably small $250,000, Monday’s final results may give us a different outcome.) In 3,065 theaters, Kick-Ass averaged $6,445, not a bad debut for a film that only cost $28 million to make". Lyndsy plays Katie Deauxman in this funny film about superheros.
Lyndsy competed at IMTA in 2003 where she won 2nd Runner up for Young Miss Dancer of the Year and Honorable Mention Young Miss Talent of the Year. Check out Lyndsy Fonseca in the hysterical new movie Hot Tub Time Machine also in theaters now!

Grab some popcorn it's a double feature with IMTA Alumni!



Two IMTA alum have feature films in wide-release this weekend! If you are looking for a good movie, consider catching Moises Arias' THE PERFECT GAME or Lyndsy Fonseca in KICKASS!

Moises (IMTA 2005) stars in this film which is set 1957 and is about a poor group of kids from Monterrey, Mexico who shocked the world by winning 13 games in a row and the Little League World Series in the only perfect game ever pitched in the Championship. This movie is finally enjoying the much-anticipated release in the United States. You may know Moises from his role as Rico in the Disney hit television series, HANNAH MONTANA. Since competing in IMTA, Moises has been one of young Hollywood's most-sought after young actors.

Lyndsy Fonseca's new film, KICKASS has been receiving a lot of press. IMTA Alum Elijah Wood in The Apples in Stereo Video!





Check out IMTA Alum'89 Elijah Wood in a new video for The Apples in Stereo! After competing at IMTA, Elijah has gone on to star in over 40 feature films. His film Happy Feet won a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Children's Award in London! Elijah provides the voice over for the main character Mumble.

Currently, Elijah is working on Happy Feet 2 which will be done in 3D! This film is scheduled for release in Novemeber, 2011.

IMTA Alum Amy Acker in Human Target

IMTA alum Amy Acker is guest starring on the finale of the action adventure TV show Human Targets. This episode is titled Christopher Chance and it is airing tonight, Wednesday, April 14 8-9 PM ET/PT on FOX. Amy will be portraying the character of Katherine Walter.

Amy is starring in a new ABC drama called Happy Town! The show takes place in a small town where many unsolved kidnappings have taken place. After five years of no kidnappings, new crimes start to happen. Amy plays Rachel Conroy in this creepy new show which is scheduled to premiere on April 28. Amy competed at IMTA in the nineties and industry great Patrick Baca was integral in scouting and launching her at IMTA. She has guest-starred on Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, October Road and Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Dollhouse She appeared as Kelly Peyton, the assassin, on the series Alias.

Nicholas Purcell and The Troop back for Season 2!



Nicholas Purcell (former IMTA Contestant) just received his pickup letter for second cycle to star as Jake on The Troop with Nickelodeon! He begins shooting Cycle 2 in July 2010
. You can watch a video from Nick about his character from The Troop above! Be sure to tune in - It's one of Nickelodeon's most entertaining shows!

IMTA Alum Winner Sofia Vassilieva!


Last night the Young Artists Awards were presented and an IMTA alum, Sofia Vassilieva,won an award! She won for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This heart-wrenching film won the Choice Summer Movie Drama Award! My Sister's Keeper is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.Sofia is very well known for her role as Ariel in hit show Medium which just wrapped up its sixth season in February! Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000! While competing Sofia garnered a lot of interest from the managers, agents and casting directors who were scouting at the Convention.

Vote for IMTA's Joseph Castanon, Kayley Stallings and Sofia Vassilieva!

Vote for IMTA alums Kayley Stallings, Joseph Castanon and Sofia Vassilieva for a Young Artist Awards. These awards are given once a year and are are like Oscars for children! You can vote up to April 10, then the vote will be tabulated. The official award ceremony will be at the Gala event scheduled to take place on Sunday April 11, 2010 at the Beverly Garland in Studio City, California. Joseph is nominated in the BEST PERFORMANCE IN A SHORT FILM for a Young Actor in the film Santa's Little Helper where he portrayed Marlon. He competed at IMTA in 2004 and he recently wrapped Nic and Tristan Go Mega Dega. His movie Happiness Runs is opening in limited release May 7, 2010!

Kayley is nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN LIVE THEATER in the play How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Kayley, who competed at IMTA in 2006, starred as the adorable Cindy-Lou Who in the play. Kayley recently booked the film The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation!

Sofia Vassilieva is nominated for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for a Supporting Young Actress. She competed at IMTA in 2000 and is nominated for her role in My Sister's Keeper. Sofia can be seen as Ariel Dubois in the popular TV show Medium!

IMTA's Eva Longoria is Helping with the Census



IMTA alum Eva Longoria is teaming up with Pepsi to spread the words "Yo Sumo" which means "I count" in Spanish! This is for a campaign to encourage Hispanics to participate in the 2010 census. According to Mediapost: "Eva will direct and produce a documentary based on stories posted to the Pepsiyosumo Web site. Pepsi and Dieste, Pepsi's Hispanic agency, are working with NBC Universal's Telemundo and its youth-oriented cable channel Mun2 and the Telemundo.com site to spread the word. A Dieste spot features quick cuts of young Hispanics talking about being counted, with both English and Spanish voiceovers. Another partner, Mexican T-shirt businessman Edoardo Chavarin, has designed a Pepsi "'Yo Sumo' T-shirt."

Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 and wowed all the agents and managers scouting at IMTA. She received 38 callbacks from representatives who wanted to sign her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention and went on to star in the hugely popular TV show Desperate Housewives.

IMTA's Ashton Kutcher a Social Media Mogul?


Time is running a poll, "Cast your votes for the leaders, artists, innovators and icons who you think merit spots on this year's list of the 100 most influential people in the world" and IMTA's own Ashton Kutcher is in the running! According to their website; "Who'd have thought that the amiable actor and mischief-maker behind Punk'd would turn into a social media pioneer? Kutcher, who did as much as anyone to popularize Twitter, now has his eye on becoming a next-generation social media mogul. Don't count him out."



Ashton competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won the coveted title of Most Sought After Male Model! He signed with Next Models and went straight to the runways for New York's Fashion week! He then was cast in a Fox comedy called That 70's Show as the lovable Kelso! From there he's become an A-list star with movies such as What Happens in Vegas, Spread and the recent weekend box office hit Valentine's Day! His newest movie Killers is due in theaters on June 4, 2010!

IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton Update!

Tiffany Thornton was out helping the homeless over Easter. She helped serve Easter dinner and hand out Easter baskets at a L.A. Mission last Friday afternoon.
Tiffany's hit Disney show Sonny with a Chance is currently airing on The Disney Channel! Tiffany plays Tawni Hart on the show co starring with Demi Lovato. When Tiffany competed at IMTA she showed she was a triple threat demonstrating her talent in all areas: she can act, dance and sing! She recently debuted her new music video called Someday My Prince Will Come which is part of the Diamond Edition DVD release of the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

IMTA alum Kallie Childress Update!


IMTA alum Kallie Childress recently booked three exciting projects! She is going to appear on the hit television show CSI: Miami as Jill in an episode called Spring Break. She is also scheduled to appear on a new comedy called Cougartown. Kallie will portray Crystal in an new TV show called Good Luck Charlie. After competing at IMTA Kallie went on to book roles in many different TV shows and movies. She was in the movie Sleepover which starred IMTA alums Mika Boreem and Sean Farris!

IMTA's Chuti Tiu in Miami Medical Tonight on CBS!

IMTA alum Chuti Tiu will appear in the Pilot for an new drama on CBS called Miami Medical. Chuti will play Nurse Longino in this medical thriller created by Jeffrey Lieber.


You may have seen Chuti on The West Wing, 24, Charmed, the feature film Long Term Relationship, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, Moesha, Beverly Hills, 90120, Beautiful, The Specials or Dragnet. Chuti competed at IMTA in the nineties and won Talent of the Year!

IMTA's Zach Roerig is back in Vampire Diaires!

The Vampire Diaries starring IMTA alum Zach Roerig is back after a brief hiatus! Zach plays Matt, a good guy on these series about vampires living in a small town. The series is based on the best-selling series of books by L. J. Smith and airs on the CW Network Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Zach competed at the IMTA in Los Angeles in 2003 where his charm, great looks and acting talent impressed the agents and managers attending. Zach signed with the late Thomas Harding Jones and FORD MODELS and was cast on One Life to Live, As The World Turns, Reba and MTV's True Life. Last season, Zach joined the cast of the hugely popular Friday Night Lights as Cash, a local rodeo star who had eyes for fellow IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki's character, Tyra Collette!
