Sam Horrigan on CSI:Crime Scene Investigation

Sam Horrigan, an IMTA alumnus, is guest-starring tonight on CBS' CSI:Crime Scene Investigation. He is featured in an episode called "The Gone Dead Train" where he plays Eric Tobin. This show has the CSI team investigating a strange illness which is killing unconnected people in Las Vegas.

Sam competed at IMTA in 1993 and he has been acting ever since! He's appeared on One Tree Hill, Eight Simple Rules, Beauty and the Geek, Accepted, Veronica Mars, Grace Under Fire, One Tree Hill, Joan of Arcadia, 8 Simple Rules, Jack & Bobby and Joan of Arcadia! He played Val in the Disney Channel Original Movie Brink and Xander in the 1995 version of Escape to Witch Mountain. He had a guest starring role on IMTA alum Eva Longoria's hit show Desperate Housewives in an episode called "It Wasn't Meant to Happen"! Sam is in post-production on the scary film Horror 88 where he plays Robert.

Adrianne Palicki Update!

IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki and her fans have 2 new seasons and 26 more episodes in their future! Friday Night Lights was officially renewed! According to Variety, NBC and DirecTV agreed to a fourth and fifth season, which will be the same arrangement as this season's, where DirecTV airs the episodes first, commercial-free, before they air on NBC. IMTA INSIDER INFO: Two other IMTA alumni starred on the show this season; Zach Roerig as Cash and Jeremy Sumpter as J.D. McCoy!

The FNL Season Finale was also very well-reviewed by Ken Tucker, the Entertainment Weekly television critic who said,"What a humdinger of a finale we got for a superlative season of Friday Night Lights. Could things have been more tense, emotional, or funny? Coming on the heels of the announcement that we'll get two more seasons of FNL thanks to the agreement between DirecTV and NBC, that rarest of things has occurred: a relatively low-rated but unusually high-quality show has been saved from cancellation."

Adrianne competed at IMTA in New York City in 2001 and in an interview with the IMTA Video Crew, she said,"It was amazing. I love IMTA. I'm so sad it's over." She has graced the pages of of GQ Magazine and was nominated by FHM Magizine as "Girls to Watch". Her projects include Women in Trouble, where she portrays Holly Rocket, which is scheduled to be in theaters in the Fall and Legion, where she plays Charlie. After competing at IMTA, she went on to work in both film and television in such projects as 7 Mummies, The Robinsons: Lost in Space, Popstar, Smallville, CSI, North Shore, South Beach and Supernatural. She was also featured in a national Dove soap campaign.

Did you catch Adrianne guest-starring as Marisa Dixon this week on CSI: Miami? The episode, "Dead on Arrival" was seen by 12 million viewers according to Variety and was top-rated for the primetime slot! Way to go Adrianne!

Branden Rickman on Make Me a Supermodel!


IMTA alum Branden Rickman is part of the elite eight still on the Bravo TV series Make Me a Supermodel! He remains in the running to win it all and a $100,000 contract! The popular series airs Wednesday nights on Bravo so be sure to tune in and root for Branden.

Bravo scouted for models at the 2008 IMTA in New York city last year! The representatives from Bravo saw models during the IMTA competitions where they created a callback list. They saw and met with their top picks and selected TWO of the models for this season's show! CJ was eliminated in Episode 5 but Branden is still going strong!

Branden competed at IMTA in New York in 2008 and he was the other model who selected by Bravo Make Me A Supermodel to be part of the starting 16 models. He has met all of the challenges and has a good chance at taking the big prize. Check out the latest amazing shots of Branden from the show!

Jessica Biel in Guys and Dolls!



IMTA alum Jessica Biel has been cast in the one of a kind Guys and Dolls in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl. According to BroadwayWorld, "When Frank Loesser wrote the music and lyrics for Guys and Dolls - a Musical Fable of Broadway he may not have envisioned an outdoor production at an iconic venue nestled in the Hollywood Hills, but the all-star cast of Guys and Dolls in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl will sing and dance beneath those "stars in the sky" in an original, fully-staged production especially adapted for the Hollywood Bowl stage."

Regarding the talented film and television star Jessica
Biel's inspired casting, Richard Jay-Alexander gushes - "She blew me away when she came to meet with us at Kevin Stites' apartment. I'm beyond excited she'll be joining us this summer." Tickets to the amazing Hollywood Bowl venue go on sale May 2nd to the general public.

Jessica Biel amazed all of us at IMTA in 1994 where her beauty, acting potential and singing and dancing abilities caught the attention of the agents, managers and casting directors who attend every IMTA Convention looking for new faces to represent. Jessica gave an exclusive interview to us in 1998 after starring in the hit WB television series 7th Heaven. You can read the entire archived interview here!

How has your life changed since you attended the IMTA Convention?
Jessica: I went from amateur to professional actress thanks to my personal manager Diane Hardin and my agent Jeff Morrone who I met at the IMTA Convention.

Would you recommend attending an IMTA Convention to other aspiring young actors and models?
Jessica: Definitely! You will meet people who can change your life and make your dreams come true!

Tiffany Thornton in Hatching Pete!



Watch for IMTA Alum Tiffany Thornton in the Disney Channel Original Movie Hatching Pete! Tiffany plays Jamie in this adorable film that also stars Mitchel Musso and Jason Dolley. Tiffany gave interviews yesterday with People magazine and Seventeen! Check out what Tiffany says about breaking into the industry during her first televised interview:



Tiffany competed at IMTA in 2003 and was 1st runner up for Actress of the Year! She plays Tawni Hart on the Disney Channel's Sonny with a Chance. Tiffany is a triple threat and she recorded the theme song "Let It Go" for Hatching Pete with Mitchel Musso. It's a top hit on Radio Disney and plays in heavy rotation! Don't forget to watch the Disney Channel tonight for the premiere of Hatching Pete!

Wayne Lopez in The Soloist Opens Tonight!


IMTA alum Wayne Lopez appears in The Soloist. The feature film has an Academy and Golden Globe Award-winning cast with Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr as the leads. Wayne plays Officer Hank in the drama that is being hailed as one of the best films of the year.

Wayne won Talent of the Year when he competed at IMTA. He is a very busy Hollywood actor who has had guest-starring and recurring roles on Rules of Engagement, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Six Feet Under, ER, The Shield, Boston Public, CSI: NY, How I Met Your Mother, and many other feature films and television shows. Wayne is a very personable, likable actor who books distinctive character roles.

When asked about what coming to IMTA did for his career, Wayne said, "The IMTA experience opened a lot of doors, I can't even say doors, doors are too small...avenues!"

Tyson Ballou Update!

Tyson for French Connection


IMTA alum Tyson Ballou just shot a layout for the April 2009 Vogue Italia. He is featured in an editorial called “Amber’s Story – a Film by Steven Klein” with supermodel Amber Valleta.

Tyson competed at IMTA in 1996 and signed with Ford Models and is now with IMG. He has appeared on runways and in ad campaigns for every top designer, including Jil Sander, Emporio Armani, Moschino, Perry Ellis, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Byblos, BCBG, Valentino Roma and Hugo Boss. He has also appeared internationally on the covers and in editorials of major fashion magazines including L'uomo Vogue, Jalouse, The Face, Harper's Bazaar, Arena Homme Plus, Visionaire, Numero and W.

Tiffany Thornton discusses her IMTA experience!






Check out IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton talk about how she got her break into the industry at IMTA in her first ever televised interview! Tiffany competed at IMTA in 2003 and was 1st runner up for Actress of the Year!
Tiffany plays Tawni Hart on Sonny With a Chance. She also plays Jamie in the upcoming Disney original movie Hatching Pete! This movie is scheduled to air April 24!!! After Tiffany competed at IMTA she landed a role on the very popular series The O.C. as Ashley. Her other TV credits include a turn on Desperate Housewives which stars two other IMTA alumni Eva Longoria and Lyndsy Fonseca. She has also appeared in Arrested Development, 8 Simple Rules, American Dream, Side Order of Life, Coming Out, Hannah Montana, Hell on Earth, Jericho, That's So Raven and Wizards of Waverly Place.

Ashton beats CNN in Twitter Competition!

IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher is the first person in the world to reach one million followers on Twitter! He was competing with CNN'S breaking news feed to see who could hit one million followers first and Ashton won! At final count, Kutcher had 1,040,000 followers and CNN had 1,019,000! As if attracting a million twitter followers is not enough, Ashton is also currently filming a new film called Five Killers. According to Variety, "Lionsgate has set Ashton Kutcher to star in and Robert Luketic to direct Five Killers, an action comedy that will begin production early next year. Kutcher will play a former hit man whose life is turned upside down because someone from his past has paid a group of killers to bump him off. " He recently wrapped the movie Spread which premiered at Sundance in January.

Ashton competed at IMTA at the New York, 1997 Convention where competed with another IMTA alum and superstar Josh Duhamel. Ashton won Most Sought After Male Model, signed with Next Models and went straight to Fashion week ! He was cast on That 70's Show as the lovable Kelso! He started producing shows, such as Punk'd, Beauty and the Geek and Miss Guided. His movie roles include The Guardian, Dude, Where's My Car? which also stars fellow IMTA alum Seann William Scott, The Butterfly Effect, A Lot Like Love, Guess Who and What Happens in Vegas. Ashton is the spokesman for Nikon in a huge international advertising campaign!

Zach Roerig in Vampire Diaries!

IMTA alum Zach Roerig is currently working on a brand-new project. Variety reports, "'Vampire Diaries,' based on a series of books from Alloy Entertainment, centers on a woman who falls for two vampire brothers - one good and one evil...Also joining the cast are Zach Roerig (Friday Night Lights) who will play the jock Matt, and Kayla Ewell ( Entourage), who will play Matt's sister. " This show is scheduled to air June of 2009! 

Zach Roerig joined the cast of the hugely popular Friday Night Lights this season. He plays Cash, a local rodeo star has eyes for fellow IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki's character, Tyra Collette! Zach competed at the IMTA Convention in Los Angeles in 2003 where his charm, great looks and acting talent impressed the agents and managers attending. Zach signed with the late Thomas Harding Jones and FORD MODELS and was cast on One Life to Live, Reba and MTV'S True Life. He is widely known for his portrayal of Casey Hughes on the daytime drama As The World Turns from 2005-2007.

Lyndsy Fonseca Update!

IMTA alumni Lyndsy Fonseca is in post-production on the new Nicholas Cage feature film. Lyndsy plays Katie Deauxma, in a story about a high school student who decides to become a superhero. The Hollywood Reporter recently reported, "In other pilot castings, Lyndsy Fonseca and Faith Ford have been tapped as leads on CBS' comedy pilot The Fish Tank. Sony's Fish Tank centers on Fish (Drake Bell), a teen living alone in his family's house. Fonseca (Desperate Housewives) will play his girlfriend. Ford will play his best friend's mom." Lyndsy just finished filming Fort McCoy where she plays Anna Gerkey. This film is scheduled for release in September.
Lyndsy competed at IMTA in 2003 where she won 2003 where she won Honorable Mention for Young Miss Talent of the Year and 2nd Runner up for Young Miss Dancer of the Year. At the convention, she signed with an agent and manager and moved to Los Angeles for her first pilot season at age 13. The following year, at 14, Lyndsy booked a three year contract as Colleen on The Young and the Restless. When the contract ended she worked on various projects such as: Heroes, Close to Home, The Beautiful Ordinary, How I Met Your Mother, Phil of the Future, Big Love, Intellectual Property, Waterfront, Cyber Seduction, I Do, They Don't, Malcolm in the Middle and Boston Public. Lyndsy also shot several national commercials and starred in the film Remember the Daze. She starred in the hit show with fellow IMTA alum Eva Longoria Desperate Housewives! Lyndsy just finished filming the drama Austin Golden Hour. Faith Ford has been a special guest speaker and Award's presenter at IMTA since the 1990's.

Sean Harju Models for Adam Lippes!

Sean Harju is modeling for Adam Lippes! Check out these gorgeous shots of him! Sean competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2006 where he won first runner up for Male Model of the Year and signed with the legendary Major Model Management team. He has been featured in the magazine Arena, Europe's premier modeling magazine, GQ where he was featured solo in a six page photo layout, in an editorial spread in Details, on the cover of the Japanese Magazine called HUGE, on the homepage for Eluxury and in a Diesel campaign ad. Sean is a favorite runway model and appeared in an astounding number of shows during the past season. He was in a Spring/Summer ad campaign for Dolce And Gabbana with fellow IMTA grad and supermodel Tyson Ballou and has modeled for Y-3 and Calvin Klein, Dior, Diesel, Lucien Palley Finet, Numero Hommes and many more.

Moises Arias in Hannah Montana:The Movie Dominates!

IMTA alum Moises Arias stars as Rico in the newly opened Hannah Montana: The Movie which opened on Friday. According to Variety: "Disney's "Hannah Montana: The Movie" far surpassed expectations in opening to an estimated $34 million, revving past "Fast and Furious" to lead the biggest Easter weekend ever at the domestic box office." Fellow IMTA alum, Dani Miura (you may know her from Dateline 's To Catch a Predator), is also in this hit film as a Sweet 16 Party Goer!
Moises competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2005 with his brother Mateo. Shortly after IMTA, Moises got his break with appearances on Everybody Hates Chris and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before landing the role of Rico on the hit show Hannah Montana! He made his feature film debut in 2006 starring in Nacho Libre opposite Jack Black. He competed at the 2008 Disney Channel Games with fellow IMTA alumni, Alyson Stoner and Kunal Sharma. He also starred in the film The Perfect Game, a baseball movie, Beethoven's Big Break and Dadnapped!

Adrianne Palicki, Zach Roerig and Jeremy Sumpter in Friday Night Lights Season Finale Tonight!!!

Tonight is the season finale of the third season of Friday Night Lights starring THREE IMTA alums Adrianne Palicki, Zach Roerig and Jeremy Sumpter. According to a NBC Official Press Release:" we still have two more seasons ahead of us to follow the Dillon gang... Changes Come Along As Life Goes On In Dillon—Five months after the state championship, everyone is getting ready for some big changes. ..... Landry (Jesse Plemons) and Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) face an uncertain future as he helps her make fateful decisions about college."

Adrianne has been on FNL since season one. She stars as Tyra Collette, the popular "bad girl", and a central and riveting character. Variety named Adrianne as one of the actresses who should be considered for an Emmy nomination in a feature from Variety's Award Central! This talented gorgeous actress competed at IMTA in 2001.

Zach Roerig was cast as Cash this season, a local rodeo star who does his best to lasso fellow IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki's character, Tyra Collette! Zach competed at the IMTA Convention in Los Angeles in 2003 where his charm, great looks and acting talent impressed the agents and managers attending. Zach signed with the late Thomas Harding Jones and FORD MODELS and was cast on One Life to Live. He is best known for his portrayal of Casey Hughes on the daytime drama As The World Turns from 2005-2007.


Jeremy plays lead character J.D. McCoy, a hotshot freshman quarterback who moves to Dillon with his family to try to take the starting QB job. Jeremy has starred in a several feature films including Frailty, Local Boys and The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang. After an exhaustive world-wide search, Jeremy was chosen to star as Peter in P.J. Hogan's $100 million dollar version of Peter Pan. Jeremy competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in January of 2000 where he met his manager Mark Robert of MARK ROBERT MANAGEMENT.

Moises Arias in Hannah Montana: The Movie Opening Today!


Moises Arias is starring in the much anticipated feature film Hannah Montana: The Movie, a Walt Disney Production based on the hit series. It will be a music-filled comedy adventure about Hannah Montana's popularity taking over Miley's character's life. Moises reprises his role of Rico for the big-screen treatment. Fellow IMTA alum, Dani Miura, is in the film as a Sweet 16 Party Goer!

Moises competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2005 with his brother Mateo. Moises and Mateo signed with Susan Osser of Creative Kidz Talent Management. Shortly after IMTA, Moises got his break with appearances on Everybody Hates Chris and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before landing the role of Rico on the hit show Hannah Montana! IMTA alumni films now out on DVD!



Three IMTA alums have films out on DVD this week: Fling (aka Lie to Me) stars two IMTA alumni; Steve Sandvoss and Brandon Routh and Splinter stars Jill Wagner. Fling won awards at several film festivals when it previewed. It is a romantic comedy about best friends, love and marriage. Brandon Routh plays the lead character James and Steve Sandvoss plays Mason.



Splinter is about a viral monster that twists the bodies of its prey into the shapes best suited to carry out its unrelenting desire to infect more victims and kill again.




Steve competed at the L.A. 2003 IMTA Convention. He was cast in Latter Days shortly after moving to L.A. to pursue his acting career. He also appeared in the feature film Rumor Has It with Jennifer Aniston. He recently wrapped Judy's Got a Gun with fellow IMTA alum Lauren Storm and the horror flick Buried Alive.His television appearances include roles on Nip/Tuck, Cold Case, Grey's Anatomy, Dr. Vegas and American Dreams. Steve is in post-production on film Exquisite Corpse.



Jill competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2001 where she won Female Model of the Year! Many people know Jill as the Lincoln Mercury car girl as she has done many ad campaigns for the auto giant! Most recently she has been co-hosting the popular game show Wipeout. She played an operative on fellow IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher's hilarious show Punk'd and while on the show she punk'd Katie Holmes, yet another IMTA alum! Her television roles include Monk, Dr. Vegas, starring as Larrin in Stargate Atlantis, Blade: The Series, and she starred in the independent films Junebug and Shifted.


Brandon Routh, who competed at IMTA in 1999, is currently filming three movies: Dead of Night, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Unthinkable. Before his break out role as Superman in Superman Returns, Brandon was best known for his soap work, including roles on One Life to Live and the MTV nighttime soap, Undressed. Brandon is in post-production on the films, Miss Nobody and Stuntman.
