Haley Bennett in College in Theaters Tonight!

Haley Bennett's movie College is in theaters today. This humorous coming to age film is about a high school student who after breaking up with his girlfriend has to be pushed to attend the freshman orientation weekend at Fairmont University where they both planned on going. Haley stars as Kendall along side Josh and Drake star Drake Bell. The movie is written by Deb Hagen and Dan Callahan and directed by Adam Ellison.

Haley competed at the 2001 IMTA Convention where she received alot of attention from the agents and managers who were there scouting for new talent. She is starring in the upcoming thriller The Haunting of Molly Hartley with Chace Crawford. The expected release for this film in October 31st. Haley is in post production on the upcoming romantic comedy Marley and Me co-starring with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. She was featured in the May issue of Nylon magazine's "Young Hollywood Issue" and was named "The Future of Film" along with thirty other rising actors and actresses. She has starred in the wildly popular Music and Lyrics where she sang and the scary film She Lived.

Brooke Burns to host Hole in the Wall

IMTA alum Brooke Burns and TV personality Mark Thompson will host a Japanese-inspired game show called Hole In The Wall. This brand new reality game show will premiere on Thursday, September 11 from 8 PM to 9 PM ET/PT on FOX and is being produced by the same producers as American Idol, called FremantleMedia North America. Each episode of this exciting new series will have two teams consisting of three people. The members of the teams must try to fit through strange and weird cut-out shapes in walls that come speeding toward them. If they don’t make it through then they get knocked into the pool below. The winning team receives $25,000 and also gets the chance to win an additional $100,000 by facing the “Blind Wall.”

Brooke is currently working on a new drama called Mistresses for Lifetime. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show "revolves around a quartet of thirty-something women who have been friends since college. Brooke will play Shannon, an outspoken and sharp attorney." She just wrapped a role as Nicole in the film Dancing Trees and a television show called Smokejumpers. She starred as Lisa Germain in the hilarious TV show Miss Guided which was produced by IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher on NBC!


Brooke attended IMTA in 1994 in Los Angeles. After pursuing a modeling career, she started working in television, appearing on shows such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, Ally McBeal, Baywatch, North Shore and Pepper Dennis. She also hosted the game show/reality show hybrid, Dog Eat Dog. She has also starred in movies such as The Salon and The Art of Travel!

Sean Harju for VMAN

Sean competed at IMTA in 2006 where he won 1st Runner Up for Male Model of the Year! Sean signed with Major Model Management and LA Models. Since IMTA, Sean has modeled for Calvin Klein, Dior, Diesel, Lucien Palley Finet and many more.The outfit pictured above has Sean modeling a coat and belt by Dolce and Gabanna, a shirt by Woolrich, Jeans by A.P.C. and hat by Hat Number (N)ine in an editorial called Three's Company Shear Inspiration. The photographs were taken by Carlotta Manaigo and the shoot was styled by Jay Massacret.

Eva Longoria Parker and the L'Oreal Color of Hope Foundation

Eva Longoria Parker and L'Oreal have joined together for The Color of Hope Campaign. The Color of Hope foundation is determined to help raise money to find a way to detect ovarian cancer early and find it's cure. By purchasing the L'Oreal Paris Color of Hope Cosmetics Bag, 20% of the proceeds go to help win the fight against ovarian cancer and provides funding to research for a cure.

In an interview from the L'Oreal Night of Hope event, Eva stated "When I found out L'Oreal supported the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, I immediately jumped in and jumped behind the cause." Eva doesn't stop there with her support to charity, but also has started her own campaign called Eva's Heroes. This charity is dedicated to enhancing the lives of developmentally challenged children and young adults.

Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 and had 38 agencies and managers interested in representing her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention. Eva recently told Pageantry Magazine that “The first day they signed me I had four auditions...It was pretty fast.” She quickly moved to Los Angeles and landed guest-starring roles on Beverly Hills 90210, General Hospital, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless. In 2003, she took a role as a detective in a TV remake LA Dragnet and made her big-screen film debut in Carlita’s Secret, and starred in the films Harsh Times, and The Sentinel. Eva's breakthrough role is as the beautiful Gabrielle Solis on the award-winning Desperate Housewives on ABC.

Haley Bennet in The Haunting of Molly Hartley Trailer!

IMTA alum Haley Bennett is starring in the new thriller The Haunting of Molly Hartley. She co-stars with Chace Crawford and AnnaLynne McCord. The story is about Molly, a seventeen year old played by Haley, who moves to a new town to start over after her mother has a horrific psychotic break. She starts attending a private school where is having trouble fitting in as the new girl. Things get even more difficult for her as she starts being haunted by scary voices and visions for her past. The expected release for this film in October 31st!!!
Haley is in post production on the upcoming romantic comedy Marley and Me. She co-stars with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson in this film inspired by the book, Marley & Me by John Grogan. The film is about a reporter and his wife who adopt a Labrador puppy (Marley) and Haley plays Lisa. Haley was featured in the May issue of Nylon magazine's "Young Hollywood Issue" and was named "The Future of Film" along with thirty other rising actors and actresses. She has starred in the films Music and Lyrics, College and She Lived. Haley competed at the 2001 IMTA Convention and here's what she had to say about her IMTA experience:

Kunal Sharma in the Cheetah Girls One World Premiere Tonight!!


Tonight is the world premiere of the new Cheetah Girls movie, the Cheetah Girls One World starring IMTA alum Kunal. He stars as Amar, a mysterious Indian teen who captures the attention of Aqua in this telefilm that was shot on location in India. It's the first Disney Channel movie ever filmed in India! The story is about the three Cheetah girls traveling to India to shoot a Bollywood type movie. When they arrive in India they find out they have to compete against each other for the role in the film.

Kunal competed at IMTA Los Angeles in 2004, when he was sixteen years old. Displaying his acting talents in IMTA competitions such as monologues, sitcoms and cold read, Kunal was spotted by agents and managers where he received offers of representation and scholarships to film courses at leading film schools. He recently competed in the Disney Channel Games with TWO fellow IMTA alumni: Moises Arias (who was a fellow yellow team mate!) and Alyson Stoner. He has finished filming Legally Blondes, the third installment in the Legally Blonde movies. Kunal has guest-starred on many popular TV shows such Phil of the Future, The Office, Veronica Mars, Crossing Jordan and Hannah Montana. He also stars in the independent film, The Adventures of Food Boy with another IMTA alum, Brittany Curran! Here's an excerpt from an interview where he mentions his IMTA experience:

"Hi Kunal. It’s great to see you again, and thanks for spending some time with us today. To start, can you tell us how you got into acting?"
"Though I always had an interest in the performing arts, I began to actively pursue it after participating in IMTA. This is a nationwide talent competition held in Los Angeles where kids are able to showcase their acting prowess as well as get a chance to meet people from the industry. Thereafter, I began to take some acting classes in LA and this solidified my passion."

Marissa Irwin Update!

Wayne Lopez Update!

IMTA alum Wayne Lopez is in post production on the film The Soloist where he plays Officer Hank. The story revolves around a homeless musician from Skid Row who suffers from schizophrenia while attempting to achieve his life long dream to play at Walt Disney Concert Hall. This film stars Robert Downey Jr., Catherine Keener and Jamie Foxx and is expected in theaters on November 21!

Wayne recently shot Raising The Bar, a Stephen Bochco produced, courtroom drama that will air on TNT this Fall. Wayne will be the clerk in this exciting new television show. Wayne's resume includes a guest appearances on Rules of Engagement, Grey's Anatomy, ER, Without a Trace, Joey, on 3 episodes of another IMTA alum Eva Longoria's hit show Desperate Housewives, Six Feet Under, CSI: Miami, and in a Subway commercial with Joe Torre and Willie Randolf. He is an excellent actor who won Talent of the Year when he competed at IMTA. He gave us an interview after he became a working actor and said,"The IMTA experience opened a lot of doors, I can't even say doors, doors are too small...avenues!"

Alyson Stoner's Camp Rock on DVD!!!

Alyson Stoner's hit movie Camp Rock is now out on DVD! Alyson Stoner plays no-nonsense friend Caitlyn Geller, a pivotal character who keeps a level head throughout in this rock and roll Cinderella camper story. Reviewers praised the Disney musical and according to The Los Angeles Times:"The audience for the Camp Rock premiere was the second largest for a Disney Channel made-for-television movie, trailing only last summer's High School Musical 2". According to Nielsen ratings the movie was watched in 5.35 million homes and had 8.85 million viewers!

Alyson has two show ups for Emmy nominations Camp Rock and the animated Disney series Phineas and Ferb where she does the voice over for the character Isabella!!!

Alyson competed at IMTA in 2000 where she impressed the agents with her acting abilities and she has been wowing us ever since! From her starring roles in feature films such as Alice Upside Down to the Cheaper by the Dozen movies to dancing and touring with Missy Elliott, Alyson is a super star. She co-hosted Mike's SuperShort Show from 2002-2006 on the Disney channel and played the recurring character Max in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Alyson has a new project called GetFitWithAlyson.com where she does exercises that use the Wii Fit and has a forum to discuss teen issues. Alyson just landed a role in the animated movie called Kung Fu Magoo.

Eva Longoria hosts the ALMA Awards!



IMTA alum Eva Longoria Parker returned as the host of the ALMA Awards! Check out the video above for a reel of highlights! The ALMA Awards (American Latino Media Arts) recognize excellence in latin actors portrayals. Honourees included Amercia Ferrara, Charlie Sheen and Shakira.

Eva stole the show as host with ten costume changes! She wore ten floor-length gorgeous couture gowns! This is Eva's second year to host the prestigious awards. She is also the event's Executive Producer.

Melody Woodin in Neiman Marcus Catalog!

IMTA alum Melody Woodin is featured in the latest Neiman Marcus catalog. Melody is striking, appearing in a nine page layout titled 'Feminine Touch'. Melody is wearing clothing and accessories by designers Diane Von Furstenberg, Elie Tahari, Burberry, Nancy Gonzalez and Robert Rodriguez.
Melody competed at IMTA in 2004 and won Model of the Year. She signed with the prestigious international modeling agency Women Management. She is also represented by Nathalie in Paris. She is a favorite runway, editorial and commercial model and has modeled for some of the most highly influential and highly respected fashion designers in the world such as: Christian Dior, Badgley Mischka, Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta, Luca Luca,Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, 7 For All Mankind, DKNY and appeared in a print ad for the Biore facial products.

Emmy Nods for Seven IMTA Alumni Shows!

Seven IMTA alumni shows have received Emmy nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards. The Emmy awards recognize excellence within various areas of the TV industry. The awards are a symbol of peer recognition from over 15,000 members of the Academy. Each Member casts a ballot for the category of competition in their field of expertise. The Primetime Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in national primetime programming, awarding top honors at the annual creative arts gala and primetime awards telecast.

IMTA alumni Jerry Ferrara and Adrianne Palicki's shows received Emmy nominations. Jerry's show Entourage is up for a nomination for outstanding comedy series category. Adrianne's hit show Friday Night Lights is up for a nomination for outstanding drama series.
Alyson Stoner has two show ups for nominations: the summer sensation and Disney hit Camp Rock and the animated Disney series Phineas and Ferb.

Sofia Vassilieva's drama series Medium received one Emmy nomination.

Dominic Janes' Showtime original series Dexter which is nominated for five Emmy Awards, including a nomination for best drama series! Some exciting IMTA news is another IMTA alum Brandon Bass is joining the cast as Dexter's son for the upcoming season.

The hit game show Deal or No Deal is nominated for an Emmy. Keltie Martin is one of the Deal or No Deal models. She is the model for Case number 4.The mini-series Comanche Moon received 5 Emmy nominations! Joseph Castanon played Newt in the dramatic western.

Katie Holmes is Broadway Bound!

IMTA alumni Katie Holmes will make her Broadway debut on September 18th! That's when preview performances for the revival of Arthur Miller's classic All My Sons begin. The production offically opens October 16th with a limited engagement through January 11th.
Katie will be starring with John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

The ticket prices for All My Sons are commanding higher than usual premium prices! It will be a real treat for audiences who are eager to see Katie's perfomance! According to CNN, "All My Sons concerns businessman Joe Keller (Lithgow) whose factory supplied defective cylinder parts to the military, resulting in the deaths of 21 pilots during World War II. Yet it was his business partner who went to jail for the mistake. Wiest will play Keller's wife; Wilson, his idealistic son; and Holmes, the son's fiancee and daughter of Keller's disgraced partner. The director is Simon McBurney."

Katie Holmes competed at IMTA twice, in 1993 and 1995 . She participated in seminars and workshops which got her noticed by industry greats Al Onorato, David Guillod and Bobby Moresco. Katie actually shot her first audition at IMTA with the IMTA Video Crew. When Katie returned a couple of years later to present awards at IMTA, she debuted the first fifteen minutes of the pilot episode of Dawson's Creek. The entire ballroom was riveted by this ground-breaking stylish teen drama and Katie received thunderous applause!

On that special night, she gave us a very nice interview saying,"Let's just say a girl from Toledo, Ohio wouldn't end up cast in a Hollywood movie if it weren't for IMTA!" Lauren Storm and Do Something 101 Help Needy Students!

IMTA alum Lauren Storm is working with teen volunteers to support a nationwide campaign to collect school supplies for students in need hosted by Do Something.org and Staples, Inc. Lauren helped stuff 5,000 bags with pencils, pens, calculators and binders that will be distributed to local teens before school starts this Fall. These supplies will help more than 11 million children in the United States who do not have basic school supplies. Kids can help in this national drive that benefits local students in their own communities by donating pencils, notebooks and other school supplies at their local Staples locations through August 31.

Lauren recently shot the comedy I Love You Beth Cooper co-starring with Hayden Panettiere. She plays Treece in this movie based on the book Beth Cooper by Larry Dolye. Lauren competed at IMTA in New York in 1999 and describes her IMTA experience, saying, “I ended up getting a lot of response from theatrical agencies and was asked to relocate to LA for pilot season. I tried it out for 6 months and got my first job, so I stayed a little longer and booked again.” Lauren has guest starred in many television shows such as Grounded for Life, 7th Heaven with IMTA alum Jessica Biel, CSI:Miami, 24, Malcolm in the Middle and Boston Public. She is best known for her continuing role as Taylor Hagan in the NBC/Discovery Channel hit series Flight 29 Down, which also stars another IMTA alum Jeremy Kissner. Lauren was in the movie The Game Plan and has been busy with many new projects such as The Jerk Theory, Together Again for the First Time, The Inner Circle and Resurrection Mary.

Black Models Making a Difference

Vogue Magazine (May, 2008 issue) featured an article and photo essay about black models in the history of fashion. The article discussed trailblazers, diversity and individuality as well as landmark achievements of black models. The article mentioned IMTA alum Beverly Peele and showed a shot from her iconic nineties Vogue spread "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" that appeared in the December, 1991 issue. Beverly Peele competed at IMTA when she was only 13 years old in the late eighties causing a sensation amongst the agents who were scouting the striking beauty. She became one of the world's foremost Supermodels.

In 1993, Beverly was voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful People by People Magazine. She has appeared in over 250 magazines and covers worldwide. She was the first black model on the cover of Mademoiselle Magazine in 1989. During the height of her career, Beverly walked for all the top fashion designers and was featured in ads for designers such as Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Versace, Prada, among others.

Roshumba Williams is also mentioned in the Vogue article for her accomplishments as a model. She is featured in a shot from the January, 1989 Vogue shot wearing a shimmery Calvin Klein dress. In 2004, Sports Illustrated selected Roshumba as one of their Hall-of-Fame models along with Tyra Banks and Elle McPhearson.

Roshumba is also a television host, correspondent, supermodel, and actress who’s appeared on the covers and in the pages of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, among other magazines. She’s been an on-air personality for VH1 and Fox Style News, a correspondent and anchor for Entertainment Tonight, and a recurring guest on Oprah, Politically Incorrect, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Roshumba is the author of the best-selling in its subject The Complete Idiot's Guide to Modeling which is now in its second edition.

The legendary Roshumba is a frequent VIP speaker at the IMTA Conventions hosting seminars and workshops as well as giving guidance and advice to the aspiring models at IMTA.
