Celebrate a Spooky Halloween with IMTA Alumni


In the mood for something spooky tonight? The DVD of the first season of Ghost Whisperer is out today! IMTA alum Joseph Castanon had a major guest-starring role in the second episode of season 1. Joseph's performance as Kenny in the episode "The Crossing" earned critical acclaim, a Young Artist Award and consideration for other major Hollywood honors! He played a lost child spirit who needed to be reunited with his family. Joseph competed at IMTA in New York in 2004 and signed with Martin Weiss Management and Abrams Artists Agency. Joseph relocated from Denver to L.A. and he has been working ever since!


Some of IMTA's most famous alumni have creepy movies to enjoy this Halloween, available on DVD. Rent the terrifying horror movie The Texas Chain Saw Massacre starring Jessica Biel. This film from 2003 is based loosely on true events that inpsired both the original and this update of the classic horror film about a some friends that become trapped in the company of a deadly group of cannibals that is guaranteed to scare you silly! Even the official website for the film is frightening! Jessica competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 1994 and won a scholarship to a prestigious acting school. She moved from Boulder to L.A. and began her acting career which would bring her international fame.




Check out Katie Holmes in the hit MGM 1998 psychological thriller Disturbing Behavior. The teen horror flick is about murderous rebellion and Katie is great in her role as an inquisitive teen. In the scenic town of Cradle Bay, the teen population is remarkably well-behaved. It's up to the scruffy new arrivals to uncover the diabolical means by which the town's grown-ups exert their influence. You can see the original trailer here. Katie competed at IMTA in New York in 1995 and starred as Joey Potter on the hit WB series Dawson's Creek for six seasons. She is also an A-List feature film star!


If these sound too spooky for you, try Casper A Spirited Beginning starring IMTA alum Brendon Ryan Barrett and Casper the friendly Ghost. This a prequel to the Casper story from 20th Century Fox and it explains how Casper's ghostly life began. Brendon is the star of this classic family film. You can see the trailer here.












You can also watch the always hilarious Ashton Kutcher on That 70's Show in the special Halloween episode called "Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die." Please check your local listing for times and stations. This syndicated treat is scheduled to air in most markets. A scene from this annual favorite is shown above. Ashton Kutcher was IMTA's 1997 Most Sought After Male Model.

Eva Longoria on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tonight








Tonight, on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Eva Longoria will be the featured guest! Eva competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 1998. She received 38 callbacks and signed with a theatrical agent. She started auditioning and booking right away! She appeared on 90210, The Young and The Restless and was ultimately cast as Gabrielle in the ABC megahit Desperate Housewives!

See Mika Boorem in The Initiation of Sarah

Catch the creepy Halloween television special starring Mika Boorem in the ABC Family movie The Initiation of Sarah on Saturday October 28. In this made for television horror movie Mika plays Sarah, a college student, who uses her magical powers against a dark evil that a group of sorority sisters are using against her "good" sorority.


Since attending IMTA in New York in 1994, Mika has guest starred on various television shows including The Drew Carey Show, Ally McBeal, Touched By An Angel, and Dawson's Creek. She has received two nominations for a Young Artist Award for her roles in the upcoming Christmas movie, Jack Frost and the blockbuster movie The Patriot with Mel Gibson. The Initiation of Sarah airs Saturday, Oct 28 at 12:00 pm ET on ABC Family.

Jack Kaeding in Running With Scissors Opens Nationwide Today


IMTA alum Jack Kaeding is currently starring in Running with Scissors, a darkly humorous film based on the best-selling personal memoirs of Augusten Burroughs. Set in the 1970's, the nine-year-old IMTA alum Kaeding plays the young Augusten from six to eight years old, when he was living with his alcoholic father and nacarcisstic mother. His mother has her psychiatrist adopt him and he has to go live in the Doctor's bizarre house with his wife and two daughters. The story illustrates the incrediably peculiar events Augusten experienced while being a member of the Finch household.

Jack attended IMTA and received much attention from the casting directors who were looking for new talent. Jack showcases his talent in this role while working with some of today's most accomplished actors such as Academy Award nominated Annette Benning and Academy Award winner Gwyenth Paltrow.

Josh Duhamel on Las Vegas Season Premiere


Catch IMTA alum Josh Duhamel on the premiere of his smash hit television show Las Vegas Friday Night October 27th on NBC. Josh has been portraying the lead detective Danny McCoy for the last four seasons of this exciting drama which takes place in a Las Vegas casino.

Josh competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Male Model of the Year. This talented and handsome actor won a Daytime Emmy for his work on All My Children which was his first big role after competing at IMTA. Next summer Josh will star as Captain Lennox in the highly anticipated action movie Transformers: The Movie.

Moises Arias Movie Nacho Libre Out on DVD

The hilarious movie Nacho Libre starring IMTA alum Moises Arias is now available as a Widescreen Special Collector's DVD. In this comical story about the characters trying to save an orphanage in Mexico, Arias plays an orphan named Juan Pablo. Eight year old Moises competed at IMTA in 2005 and was a favorite of all who saw him.

Moises has guest starred in many popular television shows such as Rico on Hannah Montana, Everybody Hates Chris, as Randall on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and on the Red Team for The Disney Channel Games.

Jessica Biel and Jill Wagner in Esquire Magazine

Two IMTA alumni, Jill Wagner and Jessica Biel are featured in the October issue of Esquire Magazine. It's the Sexiest Women Alive issue and IMTA's own Jessica Biel who held the title last year appears in the current issue as a fold-out poster. The stunning photo highlights Jessica's regal beauty. Jessica, who competed at IMTA in 1994, is also an accomplished actress with diverse roles in both television and motion pictures which showcase her versatile talent.

Jill Wagner (the 2001 IMTA Model of the Year) is also showcased in this issue. As the character Krista Starr, Jill is on Spike's new and p
opular television show Blade, The Series. Jill made her national debut as an undercover operative on another IMTA alum's Ashton Kutcher's hit MTV series Punk'd. She is very recognizable as the Mercury vehicle spokesmodel who is featured in their ads since 2005 and has become known as the "Mercury Girl". Look for both Jessica and Jill in this exciting issue of Esquire!!!

Elijah Wood's Mumble at Build-A-Bear Workshop

Build-A-Bear Workshop is offering a new limited edition special friend. He's the star of one of Hollywood's hottest upcoming movies and IMTA alum Elijah Wood provides the voice. Mumble is the hero penguin in the much-anticipated animated movie Happy Feet by Warner Brothers.

Elijah competed IMTA in 1988, signed with an agent and relocated to Los Angeles. He is an extremely versatile and talented actor who has been in a variety of motion pictures and continues to impress us with his skill as an actor. He will be been seen in theaters in November in the compelling drama Bobby about the assinsination of Robert Kennedy. Congratulations to Elijah and his character Mumble for becoming a Build-A-Bear animal. We are all excitedly waiting for the film's opening Novemeber 17th!

Look for Josh Duhamel on Megan Mullally Today



Today on The Megan Mullally Show, IMTA alum Josh Duhamel is the featured guest. While Josh was in the studio with Megan he kept the audience laughing with his great sense of humor. Josh stars on NBC's hit show Las Vegas where he plays lead detective Danny McCoy. The show is starting its fourth season a week from today!

Josh competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Male Model of the Year. He impressed the agents, managers and casting directors scouting for new faces with his great look, talent and charm. Josh recently finished filming the much anticipated movie action sci-fi thriller Transformer : The Movie due out summer 2007.

Ashton Kutcher On David Letterman


Ashton Kutcher's latest appearance (his third!) on the David Letterman will re-air tomorrow night, Friday, October 20th! He was on the show to promote his new movie The Guardian, which is about the courage of a Coast Guard rescue swimmer. As usual, Ashton had the audience laughing with his great sense of humor. Ashton has appeared in many tv shows and major motion pictures.

Ashton competed at IMTA in 1997 and was the Most Sought After Male for that year. He signed with an agent immediately. Two days later, he was walking down the runway at New York's Fall Fashion week for the top men's designers. Shortly thereafter, he was cast as Kelso in the hit Fox comedy That 70's Show. Most recently, he was the leading voice talent for the #1 animated feature film Open Season .

Eva Longoria 's hit show is now a computer game!

Before she was the world's favorite Housewife, Eva Longoria strutted her stuff on an IMTA runway competing in modeling and talent competitions in Los Angeles in 1998. Eva received 38 callbacks from agents and managers who noticed her performance. Eva signed with Debra-Lynn Findon of Discover Inc. and moved to Los Angeles. She joined the daytime drama The Young and the Restless for two seasons and was cast in the phenomenal hit Desperate Housewives series. Eva is one of IMTA and Hollywood's hottest stars ever!

Jordan Hempstead signed with Major Model Management!








Jordan Hempstead, who won Male Model of the Year and Most Sought After Male at this July’s IMTA New York convention just signed with Major Model Management (New York and Milan). He just booked his first New York fashion show for DDC Lab (pictured right). Jordan was also recently seen in an episode of MTV’s The Hills.

It's amazing to know that ten weeks ago Jordan was aspirant and now he is a international model! Jordan said in an interview with IMTA,"This IMTA week has been a great experience and I hope we all make something of ourselves." Jordan, looks like your wish came true!

IMTA alum Kim Lemanton is featured in the Neiman Marcus' Fall 2006 Endless Possibilities catalog. Kim competed at IMTA in 1998 and has been working internationally ever since! Her versatile beauty and ease in front of the camera have made her an editorial and photographer's favorite

Kim has graced the covers of Marie Claire, Bazaar, Time Magazine, and been on the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, J Crew catalog, and tons of other fashion and commercial layouts.

Alyson Stoner has lead role in movie Alice!

Alyson has been cast as the lead in the feature film Alice predicted scheduled for a 2007 release. The movie is based on the Alice series of books by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. In the trilogy, Alice is a pre-teen growing up in a male-dominated household. After her mother's death from leukemia, she struggles to cope with the difficult changes and hardships in adolescence.

Alyson competed at IMTA in 2000 and won Child Model of the Year! In addition to her work for Disney's Mike's Super Short Show, she has been a recurring guest-star on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Alyson started booking projects immediately after she finished her week at IMTA. We are so proud of her and her accomplishments!

Keep an eye out for the movie Alice, sure to hit theaters with a dramatic, yet comical bang in 2007.

EW honored Jessica and Eva with "Best Celebrity Pictures" award!


Check out "The Photo Issue" of Entertainment Weekly on newstands now. This special issue touts "The Year's Best Celebrity Pictures" and features two IMTA alums: Eva Longria and Jessica Biel.

The magazine chose eighteen stars who have been featured over the past year as their best. Not surprisingly both Jessica and Eva made the list.
The photographer, James White, who shot the beautiful pictures of Eva said, "Eva was a joy to work with. Being around her spirit is infectious." Eva competed at IMTA in Los Angeles in 1998 and her stardom is still rising.
Jessica's photo illustrates her ability to look soft and demure as she did in her starring role in the recent critical hit The Illusionist. Jessica competed at IMTA in 1994 and showed how versitile she was by impressing judges with her acting, modeling and singing talent.
Both IMTA alumni look gorgeous! Congratulations on making the list!

Ashley Davis signed with Fleming Models!


Ashley Davis is modeling in Barcelona, Spain. Ashley competed at the New York, 2005 IMTA Convention. She immediately signed with Heffner Seattle and started booking jobs.

Recently, she signed with Fleming Models and has been getting settled in and is going on numerous castings for fashion shows, print work, editorial spreads and more. Ashley has done work for Fred Meyer and Urban Minx.

Miles Heizer on Ghost Whisperer!

Catch Miles Heizer tonight on the hit CBS drama Ghost Whisperer! It sounds like a great spooky episode! Miles guest-stars as the brother of a girl who drowned in the the family's swimming pool. His character blames himself for his sister's death.

Miles competed at the the New York 2004 IMTA Convention where won Pre-Teen Male Model of the Year. He was First-Runner Up for Pre-Teen Actor of the Year. Miles caught the attention of the renowned manager TJ Stein of STEIN ENTERTAINMENT GROUP. Miles and his family relocated to Los Angeles. He's appeared on CSI : MIAMI and had a starring role in the short feature film Paramedic.

Joseph Castanon in Shark


Joseph Castanon guest-starred as Ethan on the all-new episode of the CBS drama Shark! Here's a synopsis:
A heart surgeon is accused of murdering his missing wife. The fact that Stark doesn't have any proof, or even a body, doesn't stop him. He asks his team to find creative means to secure evidence from Dr. Mitchell Sterling's home and obtain testimony from his eight-year-old son, Ethan.

Wow! Joseph really is amazing! He is an exceptionally talented actor and he LOVES acting. Joseph Castanon competed at the New York IMTA Convention in 2004 and signed with Martin Weiss Management and Abrams Artists Agency. Joseph played Adam Sandler's son in the hit film Click which came out in June.

Happy Birthday to Seann William Scott


Seann William Scott celebrated his 30th birthday at Stereo with Usher, Jesse Metcalf, Constantine Maroulis and New Jersey Nets Mile Ilic and Nenad Krstic! Sounds like fun! Of course, any time Seann is around is fun! He competed at the 1995 Hooray for Hollywood IMTA Convention!

His good looks and winning personality made him a favorite of many of the agents, managers and industry VIP's who were scouting. He began auditioning right away...among those who turned him down; Baywatch and All My Children! Luckily, he didn't let that discourage him and he relocated to Los Angeles, continued auditioning booking some roles and finally, he was cast in his big screen debut, the break-through role of Stifler in the hit American Pie.

Seann's determination, talent and likability have made him a favorite in Hollywood and he has starred in The Dukes of Hazzard, The Rundown, Bulletproof Monk and he teamed up with a fellow IMTA alum, 1997's Most Sought After Male Model Ashton Kutcher for the cult classic, Dude, Where's My Car?

IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher is the star in BOTH of this weekend's top grossing movies! He is the voice of Elliot in the number one film Open Season and he stars as Jake Fischer in The Guardian, the number two film! He is also getting rave reviews for both roles!
