Sofia Vassilieva on Medium Tonight!


Have you been watching Medium? IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva's character, Ariel Dubois, is in an new episode tonight called How to Kill a Good Guy. This series is now in it's seventh season! The intriguing series is based on the real-life story of a psychic who uses her abilities to solve.

Sofia, who competed at IMTA in 2000, won a Young Artists Awards for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This film is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.

IMTA Alum Winner Sofia Vassilieva!


Last night the Young Artists Awards were presented and an IMTA alum, Sofia Vassilieva,won an award! She won for BEST PERFORMANCE IN A FEATURE FILM for Supporting Young Actress for her outstanding job as Kate Fitzgerald in the film My Sister's Keeper! This heart-wrenching film won the Choice Summer Movie Drama Award! My Sister's Keeper is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born as genetic match to keep her cancer-stricken older sister (played by Sofia) alive.Sofia is very well known for her role as Ariel in hit show Medium which just wrapped up its sixth season in February! Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000! While competing Sofia garnered a lot of interest from the managers, agents and casting directors who were scouting at the Convention.

Sofia Vassilieva in Medium moves to CBS!

Sofia Vassilieva's show Medium will change networks from NBC to CBS this Fall! This spooky drama will move to CBS' primetime lineup for Fridays when it changes networks and begins its sixth season. Sofia stars as Ariel Dubois, the daughter of the main character, Allison (Patricia Arquette). The show is an intriguing series based on a real-life story of a psychic who uses her abilities to solve crimes.

Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000. She went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, the psychological thriller Inhabited and Day Zero. She recently completed the horror film Hurt about a widow and her children coping with loss and a new life. Sofia won a Best Supporting Young Artist Award in 2006 for Best Performance in a TV Drama.

This is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born to help keep her older gravely ill sister alive and is based on Jodi Piccoult's novel My Sister's Keeper. Sofia Vassilieva Update!

Sofia Vassilieva recently wrapped a film called My Sister’s Keeper. This is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born to help keep her older gravely ill sister alive and is based on a true story from Jodi Piccoult's novel My Sister's Keeper. It is truly a heart wrenching story which highlights how the moral and ethical decisions these parents made affected their two daughters. Cameron Diaz plays Sara Fitzgerald, Abigail Breslin plays Anna Fitzgerald, the younger sister and Sofia plays Kate Fitzgerald, the gravely ill sister.

Sofia Vassilieva is currently shooting a film called My Sister’s Keeper. This is a very touching and dramatic story about how one daughter finds out she was born to help keep her older gravely ill sister alive and is based on a true story from Jodi Piccoult's novel My Sister's Keeper. It is truly a heart wrenching story which highlights the many obstacles families encounter. Cameron Diaz plays Sara Fitzgerald, Abigail Breslin plays Anna Fitzgerald and Sofia plays Kate Fitzgerald!

Sofia Vassilieva in Medium Tonight!

IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva is starring in a new episode of the hit NBC series Medium Tonight. This is the fourth season of the intriguing series based on a real-life story and tonight's episode is called Burn Baby Burn, Sofia plays Ariel Dubois, the daughter of the main character, Allison (Patricia Arquette). This episode is an exciting two parter with the second installment airing March 17.
Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000. She went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, the psychological thriller Inhabited and Day Zero. She recently wrapped Hurt about a widow and her children coping with loss and a new life. Sofia won a Best Supporting Young Artist Award in 2006 for Best Performance in a TV Drama.

Sofia Vassilieva in the Season Premiere of Medium!

IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva is starring in the season premiere of her hit NBC series Medium on January 7th! This is the start of the fourth season of the intriguing series based on a real-life story and fans have been clamoring for its much-awaited return! Sofia plays Ariel Dubois, the daughter of the main character, Allison (Patricia Arquette). This season will feature Allison and her family as their world is turned upside down after her psychic abilities are tested.


Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000. She went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, and Day Zero. Happy Birthday to Sofia Vassilieva

We want to wish a very happy birthday to IMTA alum Sofia Vassilieva. Sofia stars in the hit television series Medium which airs on NBC. She plays Ariel Dubois, the oldest of three girls whose mother is psychic and uses this ability to solve murders.


Sofia Vassilieva was discovered at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress and first runner-up Child Model Of The Year 2000. She went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, and Day Zero. She is best known for her role as Ariel Dubois in Medium which was nominated for an Emmy Award. She recently wrapped Hurt about a widow and her children coping with loss and a new life. Sofia won a Best Supporting Young Artist Award in 2006 for Best Performance in a TV Drama!

Catch IMTA Alumns on the Primetime Emmy Awards!

Don't miss the Primetime Emmy Awards airing this weekend September 16 on Fox. IMTA alums are all over this year's celebration with 17 nominations among their hit shows. The hugely successful IMTA alumns Jerry Ferrara and Eva Longoria have the added honor of acting as a presenters as well as being up for awards themselves. The Emmy Awards celebrate superior work thoughout all the different areas of television. More than 12,000 members of the Academy who are people also working in the industry vote for the category of competition in their arena of expertise and our alums dominated many categories this year.

IMTA alum Jerry Ferrara's runaway success show Entourage received 7 nominations! Jerry starred in the fourth season as the beloved Turtle on the HBO hot series Entourage. Jerry competed at IMTA in 2000. Originally from Brooklyn, Ferrara landed his first role on CBS’ comedy The King of Queens. His television credits include NYPD Blue and Grounded for Life. Upcoming projects include Gardener of Eden, Where God Left His Shoes and he just wrapped the feature film Brooklyn Rules.
Our favorite Desperate Housewife and IMTA alumn Eva Longoria's show was nominated for 6 awards. Eva has been busy with many leading projects since competing at IMTA in 1998. She starred in the films Harsh Times, The Sentinel, and in L.A. Dragnet. Her television roles include guest spots on The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, Beverly Hills, 90210, and The Young and the Restless. Eva has been named one of AOL's "Sexist Primetime TV stars", one of People's "50 Most Beautiful", the "#1 Hottest Woman in the World" by Maxim, voted by Variety as one of the "Ten New Faces to Watch", one of Rolling Stone's "People of the Year," USA Today's "TV's Hot 11" and TV Guide's "New Faces of Fall." She has an exclusive worldwide contract as the face of L'Oreal, is the spokeswoman for both Bebe apparel and Padres Contra El Cancer,which helps Latinos with cancer, and she just shot a PSA for cancer awareness. Adrianne Palicki's series Friday Night Lights received two nominations for Emmys. Adrianne competed at IMTA in New York City in 2003. She was signed by an agent and went on to work in both film and television. Her first feature-film was starring as Judy Robinson in film Lost in Space, and she had a supporting role in the Rob Reiner film Rumor Has It. Her television credits include guest appearances on Smallville, CSI, North Shore and Supernatural. Adrianne is well known for her portrayal of the sassy "Brianna" on the television drama South Beach.

The very popular kid's show Disney's Hannah Montana which stars IMTA alum Moises Arias, as Rico, also got a nod from Emmy. Moises competed at IMTA in 2005 and started working immediately. He has appeared in the feature film Nacho Libre. He guest-starred on television on Everybody Hates Chris, Everybody loves Raymond, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He just finished filming The Perfect Game about a poor Mexican Baseball team who works together to win the Little League World Championship.
