IMTA Alum Eva Longoria presents at The Emmy Awards!

Tune in to ABC on August 29 to see the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards. IMTA alum Eva Longoria Parker will be among the stars handing out trophies. The Emmy Awards recognize excellence within various areas of the TV industry and are a symbol of peer recognition from over 15,000 members of the Academy. The Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in national programming, awarding top honors at the annual creative arts gala and primetime awards telecast.
Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 and wowed all the agents and managers scouting at IMTA. She received 38 callbacks from representatives who wanted to sign her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention and went on to star in the hit TV show Desperate Housewives. The new season of Desperate Housewives is set to premiere October 3 and Eva will reprise her role as the fabulous Gabby Solis.

Emmy Nods for Seven IMTA Alumni Shows!

Seven IMTA alumni shows have received Emmy nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards. The Emmy awards recognize excellence within various areas of the TV industry. The awards are a symbol of peer recognition from over 15,000 members of the Academy. Each Member casts a ballot for the category of competition in their field of expertise. The Primetime Emmy Awards celebrate excellence in national primetime programming, awarding top honors at the annual creative arts gala and primetime awards telecast.

IMTA alumni Jerry Ferrara and Adrianne Palicki's shows received Emmy nominations. Jerry's show Entourage is up for a nomination for outstanding comedy series category. Adrianne's hit show Friday Night Lights is up for a nomination for outstanding drama series.
Alyson Stoner has two show ups for nominations: the summer sensation and Disney hit Camp Rock and the animated Disney series Phineas and Ferb.

Sofia Vassilieva's drama series Medium received one Emmy nomination.

Dominic Janes' Showtime original series Dexter which is nominated for five Emmy Awards, including a nomination for best drama series! Some exciting IMTA news is another IMTA alum Brandon Bass is joining the cast as Dexter's son for the upcoming season.

The hit game show Deal or No Deal is nominated for an Emmy. Keltie Martin is one of the Deal or No Deal models. She is the model for Case number 4.The mini-series Comanche Moon received 5 Emmy nominations! Joseph Castanon played Newt in the dramatic western.

Drew Tyler Bell is a Presenter at the 35th International Awards Gala!

The handsome and talented Drew Tyler Bell is presenting an award tonight at The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy Awards Gala. This prestigious event will take place the New York Hilton Grand Ballroom in New York City, the same place where IMTA holds its annual convention!! Former Vice President Al Gore will be receiving a special achievement awards. Some of presenters include Sam Waterston, Lorraine Bracco, Alan Cumming, Gloria Reuben, Eric Bogosian, Rob Morrow, and George Wendt. The International Emmy Academy recognizes the leaders in television programming on an international level which includes the largest organization of global broadcasters, including from more than 400 companies and members 70 countries.

Drew first showed his talents at IMTA in Los Angeles in 2001. Drew competed in acting and modeling competitions and even made it to the talent showcase with his dance performance. He attracted a lot of agency interest and signed and moved to L.A. He booked the television series Jake 2.0, the feature film Jeepers Creepers 2 and the independent feature film State's Evidence before joining the cast of The Bold & The Beautiful where he played the role of Thomas Forrester for three years. Drew was nominated for a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Male Newcomer. He recently joined the cast of the smash Broadway musical Spring Awakenings! The ground-breaking musical hit won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Musical and the reviews are amazing!
