Headshots are a black and white or full color shot of your face or ¾ length vertical shot that should look like you. Casting Directors use headshots to choose talent who have the potential to work in their projects. For that reason, it is very important that your headshots look exactly like you -- not glamorized, airbrushed, etc. Therefore, your headshots for the IMTA Theatrical Headshots Competition should be natural and styling should be simple.

Actor of the Week

Our featured Actor of the Week is Zach Roerig, who stars on the television-thriller-series The Vampire Diaries. Zach Roerig performs on the hit show as Matt Donovan, Elena's former boyfriend. He's also known for his roles on Friday Night Lights and One Life to Live. You can watch Zach anytime in The Vampire Diaries on CWTV.com!

IMTA alum Emma Ostilly is featured in the new winter campaign for Aeropostale! When she competed at IMTA in 2009, she won 1st runner up Model of the Year 2009 and signed with Wilhelmina. She also did a shoot for Victoria's Secret Swimwear that will be released soon!

IMTA Hall of Fame

Ashley Greene competed at IMTA in 2004! Ashley made connections at IMTA where she was able to move to Los Angeles and become a working actress! Ashley first appeared on MADtv and Crossing Jordan before starring in the movie King of California. Soon after, Ashley became the well-known character as Alice Cullen in the hit vampire saga Twilight. Alongside her role as a vampire, Ashley has also starred in Skateland, Butter, and Radio Free Albemuth. Ashley recently finished filming LOL and The Apparition and is currently in post-production of the final movie of the Twilight series, Breaking Dawn: Part 2.

IMTA alum Zach Roerig is busy working on the third season of the spooky and very popular, Vampire Diaries. The third season is scheduled to air in September 15, on the CW. In this vampire love triangle series, Zach plays Matt Donovan, the retired high school quarterback who works at the local bar. The Vampire Diaries starring IMTA alum Zach Roerig is back after a brief hiatus! Zach plays Matt, a good guy on these series about vampires living in a small town. The series is based on the best-selling series of books by L. J. Smith and airs on the CW Network Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET.

IMTA Alum Sean Faris on The Vampire Diaries!

Sean Faris recently joined the cast of Vampire Diaries as Ben, an ex-high school football player and bartender at the local Mystic Grill. Ben befriends Matt Donovan, (played by another IMTA alum Zach Roerig), when Matt goes looking for a job at the restaurant. Ben becomes intertwined with Matt and his group of friends while becoming enchanted by one of the girls on the show.

Sean won Junior Male Model of the Year when he competed at IMTA in 1999 and signed with Dino May Managment! Since IMTA, Sean has starred in films such as Forever Strong, Never Back Down, and the television series Smallville.

The Vampire Diaries starring IMTA alum Zach Roerig as Matt has been ordered for an entire season. According to Variety: "The CW has given a full season order to frosh hit "The Vampire Diaries" In live-plus-same day scores, "Vampire Diaries" is averaging a 1.8 rating/5 share with adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers overall. Among females 12-34, the show usually wins or is a contender for the timeslot lead, averaging a 2.8/10. "Vampire Diaries" now ranks as CW's most-watched series and is the net's No. 2 show with women 18-34...Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec are behind "Vampire Diaries," which revolves around two vampire brothers -- and rivals -- who battle for the soul of an orphaned high school girl. Nina Dobrev, Steven R. McQueen, Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Sara Canning, Katerina Graham, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig, Kayla Ewell and Michael Trevino star. Show is based on the book series by L.J. Smith."

Variety reports, "'Vampire Diaries,' based on a series of books from Alloy Entertainment, centers on a woman who falls for two vampire brothers - one good and one evil...Also joining the cast are Zach Roerig (Friday Night Lights) who will play the jock Matt, and Kayla Ewell ( Entourage), who will play Matt's sister. " This show is scheduled to air June of 2009!

Tonight is the season finale of the third season of Friday Night Lights starring THREE IMTA alums Adrianne Palicki, Zach Roerig and Jeremy Sumpter. According to a NBC Official Press Release:" we still have two more seasons ahead of us to follow the Dillon gang... Changes Come Along As Life Goes On In Dillon—Five months after the state championship, everyone is getting ready for some big changes. ..... Landry (Jesse Plemons) and Tyra (Adrianne Palicki) face an uncertain future as he helps her make fateful decisions about college."

Adrianne has been on FNL since season one. She stars as Tyra Collette, the popular "bad girl", and a central and riveting character. Variety named Adrianne as one of the actresses who should be considered for an Emmy nomination in a feature from Variety's Award Central! This talented gorgeous actress competed at IMTA in 2001.

Zach Roerig was cast as Cash this season, a local rodeo star who does his best to lasso fellow IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki's character, Tyra Collette! Zach competed at the IMTA Convention in Los Angeles in 2003 where his charm, great looks and acting talent impressed the agents and managers attending. Zach Roerig to Join Adrianne Palicki on Friday Night Lights!!

Friday Night Lights just picked IMTA alum Zach Roerig to play IMTA alum Adrianne Palicki's new love interest!!! Zach will play Cash, a local rodeo star who gets involved with Adrianne's character Tyra!! Executive producer Jason Katims told The Hollywood Reporter: "Tyra in the past eight months has [realized] that, while she loves Landry, she kind of feels like he's not really The Guy," he said. "So it becomes a story about 'Are they going to be able to be friends? And will Landry be able to accept that?" We can not wait to see what happens in the third season as Tyra enters her senior year!!!

Adrianne is also featured in the September issue of GQ Magazine!!! This red hot star has been so busy between working on Friday Night Lights. She is in post production on two projects: Women in Trouble, where she portrays Holly Rocket and Legion in which she plays Charlie. Adrianne competed at IMTA in New York City in 2001 where she shared this in an interview with the IMTA Video Crew, she said :"It was amazing. I love IMTA. I'm so sad it's over." She went on to work in both film and television in such projects as 7 Mummies, The Robinsons: Lost in Space, Popstar, Smallville, CSI, North Shore, South Beach and Supernatural. Zach Roerig in Assassination of a High School President

Zach Roerig is starring as Matt Mullen in the upcoming film Assassination of a High School President along with Micha Barton and Bruce Willis. The story revolves around a Catholic High school where the school reporter and the most popular teen have to solve the mystery of stolen SAT tests.

Witty, handsome and talented, Zach competed at 2003 Los Angeles IMTA Convention. Some of the projects he has worked on include: Dear Me, Official Selection,Tie a Yellow Ribbon, Reba, As The World Turns, Law and Order, One Life to Live, The Guiding Light and Martha. He was one of the featured actors starring in the As The World Turns companion online reality series Inturn. The series followed eight participants as they move into a loft in Brooklyn, N.Y. and undergo a series of challenges, such as screen tests, cold readings and awkward prop challenges that will ultimately lead to five contestants being voted out by a group of judges.
