IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton stars in the new political drama Game Change on HBO! She plays Senator John McCain's daughter Meghan McCain in the movie based on a book by political journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin about the 2008 Presidential election campaign.

Tiffany competed at IMTA in 2003 and was 1st runner up for Actress of the Year! She stars as Tawni Hart on the hit Disney series So Random!

You've got the look. You've got the talent. Now it's time for an attitude check. A great attitude is an asset that will carry you far in this industry. Being easy to work with, flexible, generally nice and upbeat will make you even more attractive to agents, managers and casting directors. Treat everyone (potential contacts, your fellow contestants and IMTA Staff) at the Convention with respect and a positive attitude. Casting directors have told us that between equally talented actors/models, the one with the better personality will get the job. Plus, you'll want everyone to remember you as down-to-earth and friendly after you win your Oscar!

b. Successful; victorious: the winning entry; the winning team.

c. Attractive; charming: a winning personality; a winning smile.

At IMTA, there are many ways to win! Of course, there are the tangible things such as winning or placing in a competition, receiving an honorable mention, signing a contract, or collecting a business card from an agent or manager who is interested in you.

• You should also keep in mind some of the intangible ways to win:
• Developing a professional attitude and discovering what it takes to make it.
• Making friends with other models and talent from across the United States and internationally.
• Learning how to present yourself in the best possible manner.
• Gaining confidence in your abilities and talent.
• Having the courage to do anything! Let's face it, after you've performed your monologue or walked the runway for the top industry professionals, you can succeed anywhere!

Actor of the Week

Tiffany Thornton showed she was a triple threat when she competed at IMTA, demonstrating her talent as she can act, dance and sing! Most of you know Tiffany as Tawni Hart from the hit show Sonny with a Chance and So Random! on the Disney Channel. Not only did she star in the Disney movie Hatching Pete, she also recorded the movie's theme song Let It Go.

Tiffany is the voice of Glimmer in the upcoming Disney Channel movie Tinkerbell Bell and the Pixie Hollow Games. Tiffany is also starring in the Disney movie Game Change as Mehgan McCain.

Model of the Week

Melody Woodin competed at IMTA in 2004 and won Model of the Year. She signed with the prestigious international modeling agency Women Management. She is also represented by Nathalie in Paris. She is a favorite runway, editorial and commercial model. Melody has modeled for some of the most highly influential and highly respected fashion designers in the world such as: Christian Dior, Badgley Mischka, Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta, Luca Luca and appeared in a print ad for the Biore facial products.

IMTA Hall of Fame

Josh Duhamel competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Male Model of the Year! He started his career on the show All My Children before he starred in his breakthrough role on Las Vegas. He played Danny McCoy for five years on the hit show. He crossed over to the big screen with movies such as Win A Date With Tad Hamilton, Turistas, Ramona and Beezus, Life as We Know It, The Romantics with fellow IMTA Alumni Katie Holmes and Elijah Wood, and of course the ultimate summer hits Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Josh is currently working on the projects Fire With Fire, New Year's Eve, Movie 43 and Stano. The three IMTA alumni Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher and Josh Duhamel all star in the anticipated movie, New Year's Eve coming out at the end of this year.

Tiffany Thornton in So Random with Justin Bieber!

IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton recently welcomed Justin Bieber to her hit Disney TV show So Random! He performed his holiday hit Mistletoe! She was clearly excited about it and tweeted:

She also tweeted the following information about her chicken and dumplings recipe:

IMTA alumni Tiffany Thornton is the voice of Glimmer, a fairy friend of Walt Disney's magical Tinker Bell! Tinker Bell, Glimmer and other fairies will compete in a special three day competition airing on Disney TV channel this Fall. One fairy will win and be named the champion of the competition!





Tiffany, who competed at IMTA in 2003, stars as Tawni Hart in Disney's hit sitcom, So Random. The Disney Channel Friends for Change Games taped recently in Los Angeles! Some of your favorite IMTA alumni and Disney stars were on hand to battle it out in the hugely popular Disney channel game series!

Caitlyn Taylor Love of Disney Channel XD's I'm in the Band competed at the Disney Channel Friends for Change Games. Caitlyn competed at IMTA in 2005 in New York! Caitlyn recently returned to IMTA to inspire the new participants and she rocked the house with her singing performance during the L.A. Awards Party.

Tiffany Thornton of the hit Disney show Sunny With a Chance also competed at the Disney Channel Friends for Change Games. Tiffany competed at IMTA in 2003!

Alyson competed at IMTA in 2000 where she garnered attention from the agents, managers and casting directors who were scouting at IMTA for new faces. She recently starred in Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam! Alyson also has a hit song Make History which is available on itunes. Alyson is currently wrapping up a world tour with the Jonas Brothers!

Tiffany Thornton on the Sonny With A Chance Soundtrack!

IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton just released The Sonny With A Chance soundtrack! Tiffany shared this with Just Jared: “I have two songs on the soundtrack and I wrote both of them. One is a bit more pop than country. It’s a bit more of Disney than my own music. I’m definitely more country than pop. ‘Sure Feels Like Love’ is more of the kind of music you’ll hear from me in the future.”

Tiffany also just did her first voice over work ever! She is the first star guest voice-over for the animated series Fish Hooks! “I love doing voice over stuff. It’s a whole new world for me. I’ve been auditioning for a lot of voice over projects but this was actually the first one where I got to do my thing. I’m excited to be a part of it all."

IMTA Alumni Celebrate Sesame Street's 40th Season!

Two IMTA alumni join in the kick off to celebrate Sesame Street's 40th season! On November 10th, 2009 (40 years to the day since its premiere broadcast), Sesame Street kicks off its star-studded 40th! New episodes this season will feature well-known celebrity guests including IMTA alumni Eva Longoria! Another IMTA alum,Tiffany Thornton will be promoting the Sesame Street characters by performing during the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade. Tiffany will perform a duet with Kermit the frog singing Someday My Prince Will Come.

When Eva competed at IMTA in 1998, she had 38 agents and managers interested in representing her! She signed with a manager she had met at the convention and went on to star in the hugely popular TV show Desperate Housewives.

IMTA Alum Tiffany Thornton on Disney's Sing It!

IMTA alum Tiffany Thornton hosts the "Sing It Pro" Features on the just-released Disney's Sing It Pop Hits for Wii, PS2 and PS3! She teaches proper breathing and pitch techniques and how to riff and harmonize in the expanded "Sing It Pro" mode.

On her fave songs on Disney Sing It: Pop Hits game: “One of my best friends is Demi Lovato, so obviously hers are some of my favorites. It’s really cool because there’s a lot of diversity in the tracks. You’ve got Coldplay, OneRepublic, Jesse McCartney, Taylor Swift, Colbie Caillat and then of course theres The Jonas Brothers, Hannah Montana songs, Demi, and Miley songs. It’s cool because there’s a range. It’s not like you’re getting this game full of Disney songs or full of songs that you don’t know. There are a lot of songs on there that I listen to myself and I wouldn’t consider myself a ‘young kid.’ I love all of those groups and singers.”

Did you see Tiffany Thornton's new music video on The Disney Channel this weekend? The IMTA star debuted her new music video called Someday My Prince Will Come. She sings a new version of this vintage song! Tiffany updated her Twitter feed after the premiere on Disney Channel tonight, saying, “A huge dream just came true for me…thank u so much for all your sweet comments. I’m so glad y’all liked the music video! Love y’all”. This music video is scheduled for release on October 6th and part of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! Tiffany also took over Radio Disney and played her favorite Disney tunes this weekend!
