Elijah Wood's latest film available now on DVD!

IMTA alum Elijah Wood's animated feature film 9 is now out on DVD! In addition to Elijah, the film features the voices of John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Christopher Plummer, Crispin Glover and Martin Landau. It's a fantasy flick and follows a group of rag dolls trying to survive a post-apocalyptic existence.

Elijah got his start at IMTA in 1989 when he caught the eye of the famed superagent Al Onorato. Elijah has starred in over 40 feature films in his career and is one of Hollywood's (and IMTA's!) most-loved actors! MTV Movies Blog reports that Elijah Wood will join the Oscar-Winning cast of The Experiment! Elijah joins Adrien Brody, Forest Whitaker and Cam Gigandet in the remake of the acclaimed 2001 German film. Elijah just wrapped the film The Romantics which co- stars IMTA alum Katie Holmes and Josh Duhamel! This touching comedy is due in theaters January 24, 2010!

Elijah Wood for Oliver Peoples Eyewear!

Elijah Wood IMTA'89 is featured in a new national advertising campaign for Oliver Peoples eyewear. He and Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson are the new faces for the Spring 2010 campaign! Elijah will also be co-starring with Amber Tamblyn and Rosie Perez in the 9th annual "The 24 Hour Plays" on Broadway, to be presented November 9 at the American Airlines Theatre.

IMTA INSIDER SCOOP: We'll never forget Elijah's performance during the Talent Showcase when he forgot a few of the words to the song he was singing, Don't Worry Be Happy. He did an impromptu duet with our emcee Russ Fega that had the whole crowd rooting for him. The entire Talent Showcase audience was charmed by his ability to recover. Elijah's song got a huge round of applause!

He is also the voiceover for The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, the third chapter in the popular Legend of Spyro trilogy. This exciting new game is currently available for the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION3, Wii, PlayStation2 and Nintendo DS. Reprising their roles as the characters of Spyro and his mentor Ignitus, are two popular Hollywood leading actors, Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman. Joining them in the cast of voices is Mark Hamill, Wayne Brady and Christina Ricci. In the last game of the trilogy, Sypro teams up with Cynder, his former enemy, to face his most hardest mission. The game has two new twists; Spyro can now fly at any time and players can drop-in and out. The new co-op feature allows players to complete the game as either Spyro or Cynder.

Elijah is in post production on an animated action adventure film called 9, a post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened. This film is scheduled to be in theaters in the Fall of 2009. Elijah got his start at IMTA in 1989 and has starred in over 40 feature films. His film Happy Feet won a BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Children's Award in London! Elijah provides the voice over for the main character Mumble. Elijah has even started his own music label!
